No, because they wonā€™t be available for the trip to Napoli after Everton have kicked them off the park.

ā€˜Now everyone has to keep believingā€™

FT: Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BBC Sport: ā€œFootball can go in both directions but tonight it went in the right one, a perfect end of the game.ā€

Newcastle brought it on themselves, with the time taken out of the game was added on, it came back to get them in the end? "I am really happy that everyone saw it tonight. It was hard to take. It was a difficult game anyway, Newcastle invested a lot to close us down. They were close to getting pretty much everything for it. Of course everyone wants to see a football game and when it is interrupted that often it is not nice for anybody.

"The only chance we have, not just for this game but in general, the referee has to pick earlier yellow cards. I donā€™t know when the kicking the ball away stopped being a yellow card. When did this rule die?

ā€œI had no idea if that tonight it was on purpose or if they players really had to go down because slightly injured. I donā€™t know.ā€

How do you stop having to come from behind? "By scoring first. We have a lot of space for improvement, definitely. It was well played by Newcastle I have to say. It is still early in the season. You have to fight your way through.

"I am not sure everyone in the stadium kept believing but from now on we have to. What a wonderful goal from the little one. He is in a great moment.

ā€œHarvey Elliott was the best player on the pitch, without a shadow of a doubt. It was nice to see he picks up from where he was before the bad injury. Fabio, what a boy. What a player. I am pretty sure he will want to have that feeling more often and I am pretty sure if he keeps working he will have it more.ā€

Which would make Milner a centre right mid back.

Good on you sir.

I wish! And so does my wife.

Carvalho is a midfielder if your attacking. Start with him and Elliott on Saturday then if we score the first 5 we can give him a rest for Milner.

Stop bluffing Woolton, I know your wife left you 3 years agoā€¦when you married at 25.

So, lets debrief.

Fabio and Elliot need to start? Some youthful energy is really fucking lacking, and they actually play with some creativity. Those two buzzing ahead of Thiago and nestled in behind Nunez, Diaz and Mo could be really fun to watch.

Henderson needs to be dropped, not rested, but dropped. Itā€™s time for to take over the Milner role of recent years. Armband needs to go toā€¦fucked if I know. But he has been woeful of late.

Fabinho and his lack of pace is really being found out now, we desperately need an alternative to him.

Diaz really looks settled, I actually think Mo is playing some of his best football. he isnā€™t scoring as much, but it feels like that without Mane he doesnā€™t get the pressure to be the star now. Heā€™s pulling people into the play rather than doing it all himself

VVD, what the Fuck is going on mate. he is coasting around the field like itā€™s a training session. His diagonal balls have been woeful and heā€™s playing at half pace

Trent, we need a backup, his attitude sucks

All-in-all, we probably deserved the points on weight of possession, but we looked awful for bigger periods than we looked good. Not great signs.

Mods, can you please name and shame the users that voted Henderson MOTM?

Yeah. We will have a real fun time when prickford does his customary time wasting shit and the bitters decide to injure him like the cunts they are.

I thought Gomez was good again tonight he actually almost got caught but recovered really well and actually played Isak offside instead of him being on and then they look at the linesman.
