Messy game all round.

3 set pieces v 2 deflections.

Jota took his 2 goals well, as did Mo…fullbacks putting in quality set pieces.

Don’t think anyone else comes away with much credit tbh.

Dominated posession and passes but could have easily finished with a point. Feel we made things difficult for ourselves at times.

What a fucking shambles our defence were second half. Konate’s worst game in a red shirt and VVD not much better. Jota’s goals win him the MOM but another performance to forget.

Sloppy but getting the three points was achieved so on to the next one.

First half I thought we were fine. Patience shown, and should’ve been a goal up from Jota. PErfect start to the second half with Jota opening the scoring tight away.

But then struggled with defending the second ball at the long throws. Deflections on the shots didn’t help as well. Nice to see Louis Diaz back and carrying the ball.

That was squeaky bum! Thiago way too casual with his passes, Jones couldn’t do his Leeds performance consistently , Fabinho seems to be finished mentally at this level. Jota and Salah did their jobs well. Klopp had no answers to their long throws and the second balls generated by them.

With better CMs and DM next season (hopefully with a bit of concentration and defensive awareness from the DM), we could be looking at a much more comfortable table positioning next season.

MOM Jota/Trent / Diaz , defensively we were OK but defending their throws we were rubbish . we are still poor in the building up towards a goal and sometimes your set pieces might not drop having said so Diaz coming back will create more chances so this will improve . Trent was class and he is a midfielder and a very good one and defended well covering back ( actually he was running rather than his usual jogging ).
a game to forget and most importantly we got 3 point so who cares
