Alright lads. I donā€™t even know (or care) what youā€™re arguing about, but itā€™s just petty name calling at this point and really not worth pursuing.
Peace and love, YNWA :v:t4:

??? Stop what?

I saw that banner, but thought that it came from Liverpool supporters.

Thatā€™s a great gesture. They are a proper football club, with a proper history and proper fans. I want them to stay up too.

Their current manager is a fine chap too btw. They were actually very good yesterday and could easily have picked up points.

Surely it isnā€™t the first time KonatĆ© has played against Awoniyi? They were in the Bundesliga together for 2 seasonsā€¦

this is cuteā€¦

He moved to Forest too early - Might have been given his chance next season with TAA changing rolesā€¦!

No, heā€™s awful.

He isnā€™t awful. He is a decent young player who is going to carve out a good career as a professional footballer. At PL level with a bit of luck.

This hyperbole is nonsense. Itā€™s the same silliness that demands a big squad but everyone not in the first eleven is shit and should be sold. Iā€™ve never understood it.

Considering our record with injuries as well youā€™d think people would be wary of clearing out.

Heā€™s going the way where his level is at soon & he probably will end up doing well down there, good luck to the guy. Always been a limited player Imo, we done very well to rinse Forest for the fee we got for himā€¦now we move on. Whatā€™s nonsense is all this ā€œsold too soonā€. Same was being said about Darby Warnock Flanno Shelvey, no theyā€™re just nowhere near good enough for a club like Liverpool.

Yes, but thatā€™s different to ā€œheā€™s awfulā€. Heā€™s not awful. Heā€™s a solid player, not good enough for us but thatā€™s no shame.

Weā€™ll see how we continue to evolve. Next season we could see Trent as an orthodox CM, as a 6 or one of a pair in a double pivot, but importantly that is not what heā€™s currently doing. His recent adaptation is one of what we are asking our RB to do, not one of moving him to a different position. Itā€™s a meaningful distinction because it impacts ideas like this about who could replace Trent at RB.

Absolutely. There are thousands of footballers around the world not at our level. They are not all awful.

The biggest argument against the ā€˜sold Neco too earlyā€™ thing, is that he is very attack minded. So if the suggestion is that Trent is moving to midfield (not that Iā€™m saying he will), Neco doesnā€™t fit the bill as a more defensive fullback who will tighten us up at the back.

Why would Trent moving to midfield full time (and in this scenario reverting our defense to a more traditional 4 in possession) require a more defensive minded FB. Kloppā€™s side have not all played the exact same football, but aggressive attacking FBs has been a constant.

Nico Williams probably thought the RB position was Trentā€™s for the next decadeā€¦ Might have had a bearing on his decision to move.
Be interesting to see how the blueprint for the defence unfolds in the coming seasonsā€¦

Because the criticism that Trent has received this year has focussed on the massive gaps left behind him in the absence of a workhorse midfield to cover. Neco would also leave those gaps, and Trent is hardly a workhorse.

I dont understand the logic. The fans arent picking the players, the worst of the fan crticism shouldnt impact the fit of the player. FBs who are good getting forward and playing in the opposition half have been a constant of Kloppā€™s football for the past 20 years.

Reminds me of some interesting trivia. Philipp Degen left Dortmund around the same time that JĆ¼rgen Klopp joinedā€¦
