The football was like the weather.
We worked hard, Ramsey, Chiesa, Woodman probably the ‘better’ players tonight on our end.
Thought Rio tried but his decision making was not great (17 years old and that).
Cannot remember Macca playing at all. Kerkez was alright too to be fair.
Nallo is having a howler with the two red cards (in his first two games??).

Start three more first team players and take them off for three other first team players at halftime. Tell the squad to make Anfield proud but remember it’s the Carabao Cup so try not to get injured.

I do wonder what we are saving our players for particularly, do they not get injured in PL and CL matches?
Ironically has a feeling of Rodgers last season, wonder if he will play a second string against Real Madrid if that happens I’m done.

I like the league cup cos it gives you a chance to see fringe players and youngsters. Obviously tonite was a bridge too far with this team selection.
Not to worried that we crashed out as long as we come back to winning ways in the league and in the CL. Villa game will be tough and crucial for this season. lose to Villa and…
Individually I think Ramsey had a good game. Also happy with Macca in midfield and Chiesa leading by example. Won’t judge the others too harshly. It’s not easy to play well in a completely make shift team.
