I was so proud of every Liverpool player today did not expect this at all special mentions for Bradley and Curtis. Food for thought for Trent wanting to go to these prima donas wankers
After tonightâs game/performance, Trent may have to sign a contract as RM will turn their attentions to BradleyâŚ
Agreed, they were my 3 picks but everyone put a shift in.
I donât watch England matches so was intrigued to see how Bellingham performed given all the publicity and hype. He was fucking shite. Fair play to Modric though, the bloke is still class at 74.
Just hope Ibou and Bradley are ok, it would be gutting to lose Konate when the match was as good as finished.
I know the result is not solely down to it, but I do think Bradleyâs challenge changed the mindset of the players and the fans. From then on we bullied Madrid.
apparently he used his bus pass to get to the game.
I feel for Bellingham great player but Grav is a monster and made him look shite.
Gravs defensive performance was top draw he was like an octopus legs everywhere, then a ballerina on the ball, dancing past all comers
RM have to thank their goalie he saved them from a right drubbing because it would have been 5:0 at halftime and 8:0 at the end
I donât care what they say, thereâs nothing wrong with getting carried away and making outrageous claims when tipsy.
I agree he set the place alight!
Grav has been great, this season. You could tell from the minutes last season he was a baller, with great technique, but he also frustrated and was probably hindered by lack of minutes. The thing for me is if he can continue this form for the whole season.
Arguably, the three most improved players so far are Grav, CJ and Gapko. However, the later two we knew had it in them.
I do feel that this is partly because Slot has identified a position for them and particularly with Jones a style that suits him. He is now expected to hold onto the ball, rather than move it on quickly, something under Kloppâs system he was pulled up on.
I am in no way being critical of Klopp with this comment, I just find it intriguing as to how a managers style/approach/differenting perspective of a players use can be so reflecting on a players confidence/performance.
I thought all their injured players are twats.
Yeah imagine losing your first choice keeper for 2 monthsâŚ
And first choice RB for a month.
When did the game become all about a first 11 again, itâs a squad game weâve lost 3 starters if you put in Jota who can be distant but usually will score.
In addition to squad players like Elliott.
Good game all round! The only downer is Robbo being quite error prone nowadays.
I wonder what went through the minds of Mbappe and Bellingham after seeing the electric atmosphere of Anfield!
though probably best to make it to at least 11am firstâŚ
Could watchonly the first half, even then I knew that Connor would be MoM, if only for âthatâ tackle.
City must be shitting themselves now!
Reflecting on that match, that was a marker. From the Real Madrid point of view, they did come in somewhat limping - Vinicius in particular has been making them tick. If we had not been able to beat them, well, living in our heads rent-free. We wonât get many better chances, at Anfield, in form, their side missing their go-to scorer. In that sense, 2-0 is somewhat disappointing.
On the other hand, Madrid needed points tonight. They are hanging on by their fingernails and headed to Bergamo next to play an Atalanta side that has been doing well. Real are one spot away from washing out. Plus, their next match is a soft 15th place matchup with Getafe visiting. By contrast, LFC didnât really need the points, and is headed into a huge match on the weekend. Plus, we were missing our era-defining keeper and matching a kid up at left back versus Mbappe. They had to be thinking they had a decent chance to come in to Anfield and come away with something.
What they got was hard. Suffocating, physical, tougher than anything they have seen in La Liga or the CL this season. By the end, it was obvious that Liverpool had got in their heads.
Still a long way from shedding whatever hex they have held, but they wonât be looking forward to their next visit to Anfield.
Seemed like a dominant performance, however I was only half watching as was sorting tickets for WHU v LFC just after Xmas.
Happy days on both counts!
Great game, great result, the look on Mbappeâs face when he got a thorough Conoring will last for a long time.Magic.
Great performances from many, Kelleher was imperious.
Conor has to be MOTM,but there were others, Kelleher ,and Grav, another blinder too.
