Huffed and puffed but ultimately not good enough when it mattered, too many players not being decisive or clinical in the important areas.
Need a rethink in the summer as we seem to have lost the ability to beat the best teams when they defend well, deep and on the counter.

Dominated the game. Much the better team but we didn’t score and that’s what it all comes down to. Simply not good enough. Chances not taken. Big chance to end the season on a high. We should of won that.

The wheels fell well and truly off in terms of performances as the season has worn on. Domestic cups were fun for a change, but sacrifice them next season. Back to playing the kids IMO.

For all the talk our lads did before the game they didnt deliver on it.
Sour end to a good season. Felt like watching us lose to burnley when Klopp first came in, Madrid werent much of anything in that game and we managed to be less. Still, next season we’ll get big ears back

We didn’t create enough. Sure Courtois made at least two very good saves but we didn’t create enough - Real created one easy scoring opportunity and we created none. I have to say I wondered about bringing Keita on at half time as Thiago esp was not great. Can see why Dias started but it meant we didnt have that dynamic option off the bench. We need to recruit some more great players - as we rely too much on the FBs for creating opportunities - and we go again next year.
