Alright have Mia Farrow then if it works for you.
Quantum mechanics, obviously.
There is NO accountability against these referees…
They do what they want… when they want…
The shock element of how bad they are has become too diluted…
To most of them they have reached the plateau of their ambition… Take their wages and run…
Nowhere else to be promoted to, they have gross incompetence on their CV’s as their only trait…!
Sticky start but we came good in the end. Considerably more effort in the second half… this new lad Jota is a find isn’t he?
TOP!!!..
Ive moved on to the De Broglie Bohm theorem
Whether he was in possession or not doesn’t really matter. It was a loose ball with two people reaching/diving in for it and the one who doesn’t get there is called for a foul 99% of the time.
The offside piece is difficult because the rule isn’t supposed to apply to a tackle/block. So if you ignore whether it was a foul, you can give that as offside if you thought Mane was in possession and was tackled by Ogbonga. You shouldn’t if you thought Ogbinga was in possession and that was his clearance under pressure. I’m not sure where I come down on that, but ultimately it doesnt matter in this instance because there WAS a foul first.
We should sign that ginger…
A word on Klopp’s subs. He rarely gets credit as a tactician, but I doubt many we’re not only calling for Shaq to come on, but to play as the number ten. Then he does that.
To see both of your subs combine tho a beautiful winner like that must feel good.
"I don’t want to see us in a moment be brilliant because it’s not possible, I want to see us dig in and we did that, and i’m so, so happy"-Klopp
see even Klopp agrees with me…
well said mascot, well said…
On Nathaniel Phillips: “He’s a brilliant guy, smart guy, intelligent, everything. He’s not easy on the eye, he’s not Messi but who cares? In the air, he’s a monster! He was incredible”.- Klopp
On goalscorer Diogo Jota: “We fought really hard to sign him. We didn’t need to convince him too much, but we had to fight for it. He’s an exceptional talent. He has the speed, physicality, technique, he’s both-footed… He’s much better than I thought he would be and that’s really impressive.”-Klopp
I am pissed that Minamino didn’t get on, now I have one less thing to bitch about.
Worried about the form of Trent. nowhere near his expected level.
Really worried about the form of Bobby.
Does Robbo ever have a bad game?
Very happy with Nat, really good game, amazing and brave in the air. Man of the match for me.
Shaq, huge difference, the perfect sub performance.
Every time I see Jota play, I shake my head and wonder what Wolves were thinking.
the James bond reference probably not be appreciated as it would have been if it weren’t for Sean Connery’s death
It is never easy to play again a team with discipline, fortifying in front of the keeper with 2 banks of buses. On top of it, the Hammers players are pretty damn big. Hammers did come out to play a bit more in the 2nd half. Eventually we borrowed that hammer and crack the West Ham’s anti-football nut.
Without Big Virg, we do not have the penetrating, high velocity, low hanging ball bypassing the entire mid-field. Furthermore, the balls from the back were often over or under hit. It is particularly telling in this match. I also noticed that TAA was not as far forward as we have seen, unlike the past 2 seasons. There were so much space on the right that we did not exploit in the first half. Perhaps the Villa match has scarred us a bit.
Some frustration on watching this match was after the rare occasion that Hammers attacked, we managed to get a counter. However, we were guilty of slowing it right down, and allowed West Ham to reorganize, putting all 10 or 11 men behind the ball again, or passes had gone awry.
Well, enough ranting. Here are my 3-picks
-
Nat - I agreed with Jamie in picking him as the MotM. With his full beard and felt like he has been with LFC for a while, I was a bit floored with I found out that he’s only 23! Just like Rhys in CL matches, Nat grabbed the chances, played in the most basic manner, grounded and reliable. Excellent in the air too.
-
Diogo - Came on and made immediate impact. A disallowed goal (TBH, I was annoyed with the VAR decision, but if a forward plowed into Ali, we would be screaming bloody murder too). Diogo was so mad with the disallowed goal that you can tell he almost shut down mentally for a few minutes (he stopped running and pressing). Thank goodness that he’s mature enough and decided to hurt the Hammers where it counted the most, and not giving VAR an excuse to disallow it this time.
3 - Shaq - Got on the pitch at the same time as Diogo. He was a bundle of energy, harassing the flank. What a smart, beautiful and perfectly weighted pass to Diogo, which really was missing throughout this match.
We are the definition of inconsistency this season, conceded more goals than any other team in the Premier League and yet, here we are top of the league. It’s a funny old game.
Just wait until we get back to our brilliant best, starting next weekend.
Seriously though, we’ll have to up our game against City, or we’ll get rinsed.
Hard fought win in the end and well deserved.
Phillips solid, did the basics well, cool-head. Just what we needed from him.
It was a hard game to watch, but 3 points in the end, so can’t ask for more than that really, especially with our injury list the way it is.
He might be seen as a defensive liability at times, but can’t deny that Shaq offers a bit of the x-factor and makes a shit load of difference with his incisive passes. Always looking for a way to open up the opposition. Some of our midfield players could take note.
You serious??
Nat felt like he had something to prove today! did not look out of place other than getting tangled up up with Heller for the first goal.
