Post match: Liverpool v Wolves (EPL 22/5/22 4pm)

Let him milk it. It’s probably the last trophy he’ll ever win if rumors to Arsenal are to be believed.

Horrible 90 mins. Keep safe everyone, the big one is next weekend.

See even Maria thinks the same as me…so Mrs T…liniment at the ready…

Right so…we have a final on Saturday…so we see what happens…do we think the conversation with the team…in the next few days should be…next season we go for the PL again…any othe cups we win they’re a bonus…but the PL it is…

Make sure you wash your face and hands afterwards.

I don’t think so. I don’t think you can plan like that. We play to win every game with the strongest possible team. We rotate where we can.

I don’t think it’s something he’s picked up after 2 weeks in Magaluf mate :joy:

I know what you’re saying, the Leicester game in particular sticks in my throat.
I hadn’t seen us look so disjointed/disinterested before or after…such a disappointing performance.

… but there has been far FAR more good than bad this year and we can look back on a fantastic PL season despite coming up just short by the smallest of margins.

Great minds think alike…

Or is it that fools seldom differ?

We could ask the refs and officials including VAR to be a bit fairer.

The league and Champions League are obviously the highest honours. They dictate really how successful a season is. Despite that we need to compete on all fronts and go out to win all competitions.

Will need to strengthen the squad further in the next window.

Not sure that we have the financial muscle to pay off the refs.

Perhaps not. Is there another way?

Especially with a few players leaving the club.

Well at least we were kept hoping right until the very end , but fuck it was still painful. 20 mins to go at City and they are two down , you think there’s no way they’re going to grab a win. We’re stuck on 1-1 and struggling to find a goal. Five minutes later it’s all over , City have bagged three goals in five minutes and there’s absolutely no arguing with that. For all the tension , not once did we ever get our noses in front , and then the real killer for me we lose Thiago too for next week-end’s final. We are a lesser team without him on the pitch and that seriously affects our chances of lifting the big one.

I knew I was going to probably be feeling bad after today anyway , but coming that close just makes it even worse.

With more strength in depth, a good pre season, summer rest, mid season rest during the World Cup for Mo and other internationals, and we will have yet again another great season. City ain’t running away with nothing as long as Klopp is here.

Agreed. That said we’ve been pipped by a point on 2 occasions and last season we should have won but for a number of costly injuries.

We haven’t always had the necessary depth which has been far from ideal. Adding Diaz in January shows the importance of good quality options up top.
