The foul wasn’t for simulation from what I can gather,
When I saw it live, I though the chip had beaten him and hit the post. Not until the reverse angle replay did I realize what an outstanding save Kelleher had made and what was a really really good shot.
The only difference was that in the Chelsea game the attacker stayed on his feet and kept going. Refs just won’t whistle for the pen without the player going down.
With the Robbo challenge, the player (welbeck I think) went down afterwards
And yet when players go down, they’re labelled as divers.
Unless they don’t play for Liverpool.
Just finished watching this masterpiece again.
Our backline was unbelievable. Fab was a colossus. He doesn’t look like a midfielder “doing a job”, he performs as a world class center half. Robbo is everything. Adama was getting no joy on Robbo’s side so it looked to me as tho Nuno switched him to Neco’s side for a short tome to get him untracked. And still got nothing.
Hendo was magnificent. We are running out of superlatives to properly describe him and how important he is to our club. He and Gini were switching off duties covering the backline and I’d love to see Hendo’s distance covered. He was everywhere. His leadership was everywhere. So proud to call him Captain of Liverpool Football Club. His reaction to Pawson AND Coady after Coady’s dive was priceless. He wasn’t letting him off the hook. Neto said something to Hendo and he shoved Neto out of his way like he was swatting a gnat.
Gini my MOTM.
Matip, sensational defending. And what a goal!!
Another wonderful TEAM performance. Equally wonderful seeing and hearing the supporters back inside Anfield. We have dreams and songs to sing.
Thumbs up to Tyldesly and McCoist on commentary too.
No snidey comments, no searching for ‘controversial’ narratives, just two fellas enjoying the football and commenting on what’s happening. Revolutionary stuff in this day and age.
Oh, and the interviewer for repeatedly pointing out to Gini how good he has it here.
great to have seen a wonderful performance with a clean sheet, 3 points, Klopp’s fist pumps and some very lucky fans back in the stands.(envious, but actually really happy for them). Young Kelleher did very well and I hope he turns out to be our present day Clemence II. All the lads played very very well so it wasn’t easy to pick Motm … feel good about being put in such a situation
I thought the coverage by the whole team of commentators on Amazon Prime was first rate.
Fabinho is a far better CB than he is a DM.
I’d much rather we keep Gini at DM than move Fabinho back into midfield.
Delicious performance!
Each player outstanding!
Against a decent Wolves side.
My nervous goalkeeper related twitches have gone with the Mighty K! He actually gives me confidence!
Gini’s goal was sublime!
Salah’s wasn’t bad either!
Nice to see Matip get a goal and celebrate like a delirious monk!
The crowd were amazing, and I shed a tear or two when You’ll Never Walk Alone was sung! And I’m almost 60!!!
I wonder how that compares to other clubs in the PL this season. Any idea where that can be found?
