A great win against a tough and in-form side. Hürzeler has them going strong, it’s really top-notch work from him. Their only flaw today was being clinical in front of goal , something they normally don’t have an issue with.
In that sense, mother luck was with us today, but our lads deserved their luck through grifting very hard and taking their chances when they came along.
Two symbols of the game: Ron putting his body on the line to deprive Brighton of good balls, and Isak combining with Barcola to convert an early chance in a clinical, precise way. Wirtz’ goal (coming from a good action from Ron, him again!) could be one as well: lucky, but deserved as he had a fantastic first half imo.
Towards the end, we were second-best , but still managed to hold on to these three important points. Onwards and upwards!

We have beaten all three so called Bermuda Triangle and even though the stats said otherwise we nullified their threats and they only had one shot on target. I was super pleased with the result long may it continue.

I didn’t dare to even mention the ref but I was raging inside, in Europe even though they made mistakes but overall they invisibles which is the sign of good refereeing.

I thought they schooled us with how to control, keep possession and open a team up with short passes and overloads out wide. Last gasp defending was superb but we got outplayed second half.

One of the LFCtv guys inquired about his injury and Wirz himself said it was nothing serious but I don’t think he will be playing against Chelsea on Wednesday.
