We’re plastic? WE?? LFC?? Plastic?
I feel like travelling to Manchester just to beat the shit out of this asshole.
Then again, he’s probably not even from Manchester

YouGov did an analysis a while ago to determine where Premier League clubs support came from. Ignore the table as they use some spurious logic (e.g. Home Counties fans are counted as “local” for London clubs but we don’t include Welsh fans, who are pretty much part of the local catchment area.)
Anyway, out of the North-West clubs, this is how much of their support is London based:
Everton: 6%
Liverpool: 11%
Manchester City: 18%
Manchester United: 13%
Three of those clubs will have a fair bit of legacy support due to their history over the last century. Now, which one is the Johnny-come-lately?
I sometimes lurked and posted around redcafe.
But to tolerate blueloon beyond 2 minutes requires a measure of patience and understanding that I don’t have.
Ex Chelsea fans , most if not all of them.
He’s probably not even from England.
Erm…
Lets see at the end of the season what (if anything) we win, but at this point I can’t see how you can say this?!
I’d take that bet. More likely to be biomedical or a student, IMNSHO.
Ive seen him having good games as well. Maybe there’s an element of him getting complacent at times though.
It’s more of him having bad moments in the defensive side of things. And that happen more because he’s being targetted by the opposition with more regularity than what Tsimikas/Robbo have to face.
Sooner or later , someone facing an incessant barrage of offensive moves down his wing has to make a mistake.
Trent’s defending at times is a problem but isn’t as big as what it’s talked about. But I’m more concerned that he doesn’t fit us anymore and that’s the bigger issue. He’s been making some school boy errors with his short passes but those can be fixed. His long passes / assists etc are still immense but i don’t see him getting into positions where his skillset is being used enough.
At this point , I’d rather have a steady hand like Bradley or another conventional wingback who’s quicker and can provide more options on the overlap/cutting inside while attacking and still has the recovery pace to get back in time.
Not sure Trent can reinvent himself into a deep lying playmaker role as well.
Just stating that countries outside England have man city fans.
Most of them are too embarassed to admit that they like that club but they do exist.
The super computer 1000 season scenario has Arsenal now at a 1.8% of winning the league.
None of them since before circa 2010, though.
Slot’s tactical masterclass…
Liverpool’s deep 4-4-2 stunts Haaland-less City
Salah made the telling difference, but this was just as much a tactical victory for Slot – who went against type with a more defensive showing at the Etihad.
Liverpool held just 33.9 per cent possession, their lowest in a Premier League victory on record since 2003/04.
Starting with two central midfielders (Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai) in the most advanced positions, Liverpool formed a narrow, compact and often deep 4-6-0 that completely squeezed the middle of the pitch.
Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden, who started together as twin No 8s, were anonymous as a result, while Man City were forced to continually shuttle the ball out wide, taking the long way around the Liverpool blockade via Jeremy Doku and Savinho. City’s pass map from the match (below) shows just how rarely they entered the box from the middle column.
The problem with this, aside from the colossal Virgil van Dijk standing in the way, was that without the injured Haaland there was nobody to attack the balls into the box whenever Doku managed to beat Trent Alexander-Arnold.
It was a simple strategy but an effective one: squeeze the middle and clear up anything that comes from the byline.
Not for the first time, Slot demonstrated his tactical flexibility – and showed that controlling a match can be done even without possession.
He got the theory spot on, while Guardiola watched on as his team toiled to no avail, despite an “exceptional” overall performance in his words.
Bloody foreigners, eh @Cynnie?
It was a tactical masterclass from Slot but one more inspired by Rafa and Mou.
We parked the double decker bus. One that no one expected Liverpool would do.
Great post! I saw this when watching the game and thought if they had Haaland it may have been different but Slot got his tactics perfect all things considered.
Amazed that we had the lowest possession of a winning team in over 20 years!
Really? I’m sure we’ve lost to teams that only had 30% possession in some of those games where we couldn’t hit a barn door and the opposition had one counter attack.
Ps Yeah, just looked up LFC v Notts Forest in Sept. They had 30%.
???
We’ve won 64 points. We had 63 at this time last season and in 21/22. In the title winning season we had a ridiculous 79 points. We had 66 when we won the CL the year before. Of course, Klopp could have done better. He has done better.
