What I though was interesting in this game was Maccas positioning he seemed to occupy the right attacking channel where KDB and Foden tend to play and it seemed that his job was mainly to nullify KDB.
He did this job magnificently with neither having any effect on the game.
It is the 1st time I have seen us do this, especially under Klopp, great to see us having a specific plan to stop someone like KDB.
I loved this as sometimes we give someone like KDB too much space to run the game.
Brilliant from Slot.

Topically one of my highlights of the game was seeing a defensive move from Trent that I first remember noticing when it was executed by Makele in his prime - I remember it well because seeing Makele do it help define my understanding of the defensive midfield role that, for me, he epitomised.
Anyhow, Trent took neither Doku nor the ball, he just passed between Doku and the ball as Doku cut in towards a shooting position, slowing him down enough for a CB (Konate I guess) to deal with him.
I remember being impressed and feeling very pleased for him.
But I’ve always liked Trent so I’m probably biased.
I’m also prone to Makele comparisons - I once described Bobby Firmino as the Makele of strikers to a Spurs supporting friend who was criticising his goal return

As usual brilliant tactical analysis from Redment TV, also posted in Arne’s thread.
I’ll be honest here: I know nothing is done yet and that the players must stay focused, but since this win, and above all its comprehensive manner, I’m convinced now that we win this fucker. It has the same vibe than during our last title-winning season. That is all.
And now, I brace myself for the inevitable pandemic or world war to break out before May, in order to stop the season, or at least to stop us from celebrating the title.

Do you have any reading comprehension issues?
That quite clearly wasn’t a reply to me.
What was she trying to do, save the popcorn? In the end she loses the popcorn (tossed up in the air), her dignity, and probably two front teeth
