I’ve supported Liverpool since 1970. One of the reasons was the fans. I don’t ever remember our fans walking out after an hour.

I see it as being equivalent to the “Hodgson for England” chants at that Wolves game.
I think Slot winning the title has earned him some leeway and the fans feel it wouldn’t be right to openly call for his head.
But it amounts to the same thing.

You’re adding a player to that total every week! 
But I do agree that a lot of these players look like they can’t be arsed. I have no idea where Slot’s culpability for that begins and ends. And ultimately I guess he has to carry the can, because you can’t get rid of them all.
But, despite being at peace with the idea of sacking Slot a while ago, part of me still thinks that given a choice between getting rid of Slot and getting rid of half the squad, I’d do the latter.
There are about six of them, and I’d include the captain in that, who have been a fucking disgrace this season.

Really? I’m sorry it was dire and he doesn’t even have a title. His football in the title season was enjoyable the football in the last full season was as poor as this.
A revisit of how he is great is what I’m arguing against.
If you think I’m making a case for Slot I’m not but the football was as bad as it is now, as it was when Hodgson was sacked and that crap at the end of Houllier.

I didn’t watch the match, but thought I’d share a brief moment yesterday.
My son asked if I was going to watch and thought we had any chance? I said quickly said no. He replied “but our players did well in the international break?” My response
- we do have good players, but when they play together they are worse
- City getting knocked out of the CL meant FA cup is a priority for them, whereas we have the metal excuse of saving ourselves for Paris
- Our players can’t rise for multiple occasions
- I remarked that maybe we have a chance since we haven’t been training together in the last couple or weeks (I was wrong on this)
The less said about Ekiteke and Dom the better. They both should know better.
The way the season has gone, I would not be surprised if we perform against PSG. Certainly not putting any money on it though.

I’m not sure it’s a lack of effort. Strangely, if I was going to accuse anyone of that it would be VVD and only because I suspect (a) he fears another bad injury so shy’s away from contact and (b) his arrogance leads him to think his mere presence is enough to stop goals being scored.
Like I said earlier his defending for the goals today was terrible. Maybe we need 11 in the summer.
I’d put as much as you can on PSG. 8/11 atm with WH. It’s buying money.

The squad isn’t the problem, Slot is. The gutless performances are ugly and downright inexcusable, but they are a symptom, not a cause. The players know better than anyone that they can’t turn things around because they don’t have a structure to rely upon. It’s April and they still don’t know what they are supposed to do in and out of possession.
As for Henderson and Milner, they were part of the team that lost 6 straight in Anfield during the Covid season. In their last season at the club they were getting regularly humiliated away from home by the likes of Brighton and Brentford. No one is immune to spineless capitulations. The main difference is that the manager was Klopp, who was able to fix the problems and get the team back on track. Slot on the other hand seems lost, digging himself a bigger hole with every passing game.

I still can’t believe what I saw today. These lads are so afraid to commit to the play, they appear handicapped. I saw some good ball movement for a period of time in the first half, but it kept breaking down because they were too scared to play that killer pass (which would create a scoring opportunity) and instead passed it back to the FB/CB and switch the play. Thought Ekitike and Wirtz had some interesting ideas but Jones just can’t keep up and Dom doesn’t see the pass. Gravenberch can turn with the ball nicely but there’s nobody on the shoulder of the defender waiting for the pass.
I miss Bobby. He was so good at creating chances.
I miss Mo, who would take on the FB and make enough space to shoot

Was watching game with my dad and i thought until the first goal we were doing ok.
I was a bit concerned that no one was pressing. Silva picked up ball on edge of his box and literally walked unchallenged to halfway line, but other than that we were better team.
As soon as we went 1 down i said to my dad…this will be 2 before half time. I think eveyone watching knew that as well. We’re so predictably shit.
The period after they opened scoring was totally unacceptable. We just gave up and felt sorry ourselves. I turned it off at 3-0. Virgil again awful for the goal.
Slot cannot turn this round the players and fans don’t believe in him.
Fans leaving early and booing - thats not Lfc fans but theyve had enough.
I really think we could get whacked 5 or 6 on Wednesday.

Players like Diaz,Darwin and even Kostas would press like monsters, they could be relentless in a press and were not afraid to get stuck in and put a tackle.
The ones we have now are like mercenaries afraid to tackle, doing half hearted press and interested in showboating or hair-dos…
Seriously, I would take Nunez back in an instant instead of this prima donna Ekitike. Always putting half hearted effort for a press. It boils my blood when I watch this guy trying to act like he wants to press. He just can’t press to save his life, misses more chances than Nunez ever did and what the fck was exchanging shirts at the bench before the game had even ended.

Even Szobo, what the hell was that performance yesterday. So many keep blaming the easy target Macca everytime, but he wasn’t on the pitch when all those goals went in. Szobo himself was shite really,backing away from tackles, showboating at times. And, what the hell was that at the end trying to rile up your own fans.And he compared or bigs himself up as he is next Gerrard
He can lick Stevie’s boots and will never be 1% of a captain that he ever was. He needs to go and watch that game , Stoke city away last day of the season Rodgers team…we were humbled by 6 or 7 goals …the man never stopped running and trying even though it was his final game and still scored.
In the end, I blame whoever has been involved in our recruitment lately. All sort of wrong profiles have been added, prima donnas, lightweight, can’t be arsed to put an effort and only care about how the hairs look.
Whoever comes at the helm after this season, needs to set the standards players need to adhere to, just can’t have idiots running on the pitch like they are here for a selfie.

We have been served some tripe this season,but surely enough is enough.
Slot has has time enough to turn it around…even a little bit,but he is out of ideas,that is bleeding obvious.
If he goes into next season I really worry where we will wind up.
He has to go,my preference is today,if a permanent guy isn’t available then a fill in,at the very least that would show where the fault lies and I,for one,do not think it is down the the players as a group…too pat,too easy.
if Slot could do it,at least a few shoots would be emerging by now.
