I think it’s needed - put it out there. Robbo said much the same.

Its more than injuries…just look at Milly n Virg arguing…Hendo off and looked as if he was going to blurb, Trent trying to hard, Mo trying but getting nowhere, its the look on their faces, their demeanour, something is missing, they look happy and smiley in training but as soon as they line up, they look as if the confidence goes…

A lot of the things people are saying, I think are minor issues. The defence has had these spells where we concede easily, but gets fixed. We’re short of depth due to the injury situation, but those players will come back. A few are out of form, but that will return.

The big thing for me is that the bedrock of our system is a functional midfield of hard running, and combative players giving the fullbacks the platform to be creative and be the play makers. The biggest worry I have is whether this system is now starting to be ‘found out’. It doesn’t help that the full backs are both out of form and the midfield is lacking legs due to age and injury.

It might not be a simple matter of saying ‘buy midfielders’ or ‘we never replaced Gini’, because if Klopp is starting to feel the system is getting stale, then just replacing the lads we’ve lost is not going to work - Klopp has had plenty of time to replace the industry and hard work of Gini, but has chosen not to do so - he’s looked to Thiago, Elliot, Carvalho, Jones. That, to me suggests we’re trying to do something different with midfield. We’ve made a conscious effort over the last two years to bring more creativity into midfield.

So I’m worried that we’re still trying to do the reinvented fullbacks thing, but now without the engines in midfield to facilitate this. Again I don’t think the answer to this is ‘buy midfielders’ because Klopp has had two years to get legs back in his midfield.

I don’t know what the answer is. Klopp will know what he’s trying to do, but it might be one of those trying to build a plane while flying it situations.

Text your “utd supporting mate” back and tell him to fuck off.

There was no arguing, Milner told him off and Virgil deserved it. Henderson hasn’t been training properly so he was probably told he would be replaced at a certain time.

As Aussie said he was poor and lethargic in defensive situations on their 1st goal his player plays the ball inside and moves for the return in behind and Trent just follows the ball rather than tracking his man

Please dont say things like that…it comes back to bite you on the bum🤭

Don’t feel the need to defend Trent anymore, but I’d be pointing fingers at others (including VVD) before him

As Nunez runs in behind, totally different players and if you don’t agree on that then I can’t help you.

Arguing/shouting at each other/ it never used to happen…it was hand slaps, shoulder bumps, .

Sure, but personally I don’t like the ‘I could see this and you told me I was wrong, but I was right’ bullshit. It’s arrogant, disrespectful, always based on a sample size of a couple of games, and it best left to the seventeen year olds on Twitter.

That is blinkered it is so easy to stop the threat which Trent didn’t and it is something I have seen and mentioned in other games.

Too right. Wtf was he doing? I get not giving a handball but close him down ffs like Milner was trying to do

Also I don’t really know why Milner was so pissed. He was the one who slid in like a chump and allowed Sancho to absolutely mug him with the dummy. I could see what was coming from a mile off.

The issue isn’t Mane the issue is a central striker who is in the box.

They would have struggled against Nunez but also against Jota and the Mane of the last six months.

But that’s all after they score and that’s the issue we need to get back to getting ahead. The start against Palace was good and then after 20 mins just died off. Tonight gave me little hope.

We might spawn something against the next 3-4 but without reinforcements or injury returns it’s going be a few hard months.

Maybe everything clicks who knows I don’t hold hope though.

I am lost at this stupid idea of putting your hands behind your back it limits your balance and movement
