Post match: Man Utd v Liverpool (EPL 22/8/22 8pm)

Depends

Nunez maybe still starts over Jota. IK over my boy Matip these days.

If he plays higher, without Thiago we have no one who looks for that pass to his feet. I do prefer him to be higher and playing 1 - 2ā€™s on the edge of the box but we donā€™t have anyone who can progress the ball up the pitch, it seems our other midfielders just play the ball back to our defenders, who then get pressed and lump it forward.

Bournemouth couldnā€™t park a push bike.:grinning::grinning:

Considering one of those two teenagers was already considered a regular starter for us, no.

The only thing that concerns me about relying on the ā€œyoung ladsā€ is potential longer-term harm to them.

Thing is with injuries itā€™s not just the first teamers itā€™s being able to rotate those out of form. We hardly have an option on Saturday.

Carvalho could excite us or he could struggle under pressure. Our season could start Saturday but itā€™s going be every three days from here on in and we donā€™t have a team let alone a squad to cope.

Sorry I just feel really down one thing I donā€™t think the 18 months previous to the last 6 Mane was doing much so Iā€™m not worried itā€™s all down to him.

Going forward, your right, and yes he is our main creative outlet, but he also needs to remember that he is our right back, and so he has to pull his weight defensively and get back to ensure we keep our shape at the back

I only used one of my MotM votes and gave it to Carvalho. Iā€™d have zero qualms about starting him ahead of anyone else that played in midfield tonight. I include Elliot in that. thereā€™s something that bugs me about him. Not one where Iā€™d bin him type of thing just something I canā€™t put my finger on.

The rest didnā€™t deserve my vote to be honest. Maybe Alison.

Just not good. Mini crisis by the looks of things. Too complacent out of the blocks again.

Klopp prefers Matip he in tandem with Virgil, Konate is good but gets sucked in.

exactly thisā€¦ milly has not been a starter for 2 seasons. OX didnt play much last season even when fit. In all honesty, i dont blame klopp or the players here. the team needs refreshing. they are older and are not machines. we need at least two midfield playersā€¦jude bellingham is not going to save us

Easier said than done. For the last 3-4 years heā€™s had Hendo and Fab covering for him, but theyā€™re horribly out of form

Doubt they show up. There number one priority is that baseball team. Look at Henryā€™s Twitter bio basically has it ranked in priority, swear one of their players has signed a 100 m a year deal just last week

Maybe this will fire the lads up in the next match. That Bruno is a right twat acting as if Mo hit in the ear!

No qualms whatsoever about Carvalho getting a chance.

Isnā€™t having a hugely elevated opinion of your own football knowledge and the expression of such a right youā€™re given as a member of a forum from time to time. Not that @Jah_Pool was claiming any such thing btw

Iā€™m sure someone whoā€™s in close contact with them will be, they can hear it.

Agree with this. At a time when we have lost one of our main attacking threats and when our midfield is starting to show its age, we should be trying something new instead of following the same pattern that all the other clubs are well aware of by now.

As for this game, only the two youngest players and Diaz come out of it with any credit. I know Iā€™m saying this with the benefit of hindsight, but Carvalho really should have started. He would have been something that Utd werenā€™t anticipating unlike Firmino who they are very familiar with. As others have said, I donā€™t why Milner started the game, in fact I donā€™t see why heā€™s still an LFC player and not an LFC coach.

It seems that Jurgen is getting too reliant on the tried and trusted, but then thereā€™s also the clubā€™s apparent reluctance to spend any more money this window. We really need fresh legs and a fresh mind in midfield.

Disagree, you wouldnā€™t see such a problem if NuƱƩz was playing, would you?

Has klopp said ā€œweā€™re not too big to be in a relegation battleā€ yet?
