Some sense thank you.
No question we deserve to be where we are in the table, given how Klopp has set us up, and how the players have executed it so far.
Iām not having this bullshit about injuries. Yes we have more injuries than most teams right now and it limits our substitutions, but we are still playing close to our best 11 (TA and IK the only players injured that would be otherwise starting) Itās just that most are horribly out of form.
Itās still a long way to go and it will be interesting if we can course correct this cluster fuck and salvage something from the season.
What was i sayingā¦probably we had a good gameā¦but this is back to the PL nowā¦and look whats happeningā¦
Exactly. The system used to overwhelm people but itās also become predictable.
Thiago, Matip and Jota make a massive difference.
The problem isnāt that he takes risky passes, it is his general lethargical and sloppy work defensively and not busting his arse to get back into defensive position.
Itās not bullshit. We are missing key players and donāt have a sportwashing benefactor to have Ā£50m replacements for every position. Look at the benches tonight. United Ā£300m+ and we had a bunch of kids
Klopp been sounding the sos for a while now. Milly is a bench player at best, OX is not even a bench player and keita, well he is keita. so in CM we have hendo (who has lost a step) and fab (who also has lost a step). Thiago u get half a season available at the best of times. dont see the depth
In hindsight youāre probably right but starting Henderson and two teenagers in midfield at our biggest rivals would be a bold call.
Comes back to the issue of too many crocks and creaks in the more experienced midfield ranks and potentially over relying on the young lads too early and too often.
Think Milner has shown heās a bench option at best based on his physical decline but heās also our most durable midfield option at this point in time too.
Oh and if I see another Monday night game Iām going seek out and curse everyone who works for Sky.
Iām not sure Iād agree with that. Iām sure the medical team would have evaluated his readiness and decided based on that whether or not to trust him to be able to play a part of this.
the fact that we have title aspirations and milly is our best durable option is scary
I find it strange in the game thread when someone says āTrent you arenāt Gerrardā. Seriously, people have a very selective memory about Gerrard. He was far more guilty of playing too many wasteful Hollywood balls. Probably not much agreement with me but Iād rather Trent attempting those Hollywood balls than Gerrard as be has a better chance of pulling it off.
Nah thereās no way you can look at the rest of our team and describe Trent as lethargic. Along with Diaz and Elliott he was the one carrying some fight
Going to Bournemouth game, going to be sat right under the directoryās box this time & if weāve not made a new signing by the time and things donāt start to clickā¦things will be shouted.
In the City game we had Matip, Konate, Jones, Thiago, Keita and Nunez all available would they have not made a difference tonight. Its far too easy to dismiss injuries as an excuse.
You can when it suits your narrative.
I think even a team with a sportwashing benefactor couldnāt avoid naming kids on the bench with an injury list as long as oursā¦
All those injuries does not help either. Milner has played 3 matches in a row, normally the last 10 minutes now and then. Saturday we play Bournemouth at home who will park the bus, very curious what Klopp comes up with.
I really like Thiago when he is on the pitch, he does something special in midfield, but the problem with him is, when we need him, half of the season he is injured! We end up getting draws or a narrow loss.
Look at Kevin De Bryune, he is crucial to his teamās continual success in winning the EPL. We need a top class midfielder who plays at least 30+ games
