Post match: Man Utd v Liverpool (EPL 24/10/2021 4.30pm)

Just watched MOTD. What an absolute mess United are. Ole’s idea of tactics is there aren’t any. I’ve seen a more organised side at at under 14 level.

Too many passengers, clueless, shapeless and that’s before you get into looking at the quality of any of the players themselves.

MoTD showed their form. It’s relegation level.

This is as sweet as it gets.
Demolishing the Mancs is always good but 5 zip at OT is something else.
Only downside was Pogba’s shite tackle on Naby, even more annoying as Naby was getting a bit of decent form happening.
Imagine Mo won’t stop smiling for a while, nor will a lot of us.

Today just highlighted what everyone already knew, Ole hasn’t got a bloody clue what he’s doing. There’s no tactical plan, apart from he believes his star players will somehow save the day. Having said that, he has a team of so called coaches around him. The ageing conman Mike Phelan, Michael Carrick (What exactly does he do for his money). They’re all useless!
God! I’ve turned into Mark Goldbridge now!

Injuries aside, my biggest concern about our performance was observing a bit of reluctance from Jones and Jota to give Sadio the ball in the final third. When Mane was subbed on, he had an opportunity to play Jones in on goal and instead shot into the legs of the defender. After they, he simply wasn’t passed the ball from either Jones or Jota for the last 10 min of the match. May have even extended to Robbo. They were playing around him, and it was fairly obvious.

Will be keeping an eye on that in the next few matches.

I actually had him running alongside the match for this one, wanted to see what he was saying about the game.

One of my favourite bits he did was impersonating Ole turning to Carrick to tell him to simulate the game on FM22 and “tell me what computer-Ole does now because real-Ole doesn’t have a fucking clue”

He may be a Manc but I find him incredibly entertaining when they’ve lost

Only one I noticed was at the end when Jones should have squared it but I did think fair enough.

Reminds me of a Lowry painting.

We have not lost to ManU in the last 7 PL matches. Since the 2018-19 season, we are 4-3-0 against them, and have not lost to them at OT in four seasons. We have outscored ManU 15-4 during that time.

Prior to the last 3 1/2 seasons, we were 13-10-29 against them in the PL era.

Just saw a watch along in another language. The channel was from a Manc fan. After Salah scored our 3rd goal, he said, “Even tofu is firmer than our (Manc) defense!”

This might have been the most enjoyable league win of the Klopp era. Definitely the most enjoyable away win.

Ibou and Virg were an excellent CB pairing. Just bossed that front three. It’s nice to have quality CB depth after last season.

So… it has been hours, i went to bed and woke up. I still have an erection. Is this normal?

Dare I say watching back I would say we played better at Watford.*

*Though we were good that day.

After watching the match highlights for the 47th time

  1. I completely understand the reticence of FSG to paying Salah an outsized salary because of the wage structure, and all the problems that could entail. So instead, give him a piece of the company.
  2. Something, something, I forget, because I’ve had too much scotch.

If it’s turned purple, you might need to see a doctor or your underwear’s color is running.

Peter Drury: The EPL table is gradually taking shape. The title contenders are being separated from the title pretenders, the oil in OLE is finished and Old Trafford is in darkness. Harry Maguire is more of a pandemic to United than COVID-19. :joy:

No doubt Kloppo is a genius and played a huge part, but I’ll put the vast difference more to Ole’s ineptness.
Hope that clueless clown could continue to hang on to his broken wheel.
