We could really do with the 6 or 7 points we’ve had stolen off us.
To be in our position after having completely revamped the midfield and blooded two outstanding youngsters in defence is nothing short of miraculous. It has been a fantastic season whatever happens in the next 4 weeks.
Arsenal’s run tends to suggest more potentials mind.
Chelsea are shit but they turn up and it’s a London derby, they have their equivalent of the Merseyside as well.
We will see, if we win our 7 we will win it I feel, I don’t expect many if any losses by these two so it’s probably going come down to draws.
Like all reds I’m disappointed to not win. I felt we needed a second goal before half time to go with our dominance. The biggest issue today was wastefulness. Not all of the 28 shots were even close to decent chances, but there was plenty there to score a good 3-4 goals.
Quansah was obviously at fault for the goal. We can say that while retaining perspective and support for the lad, as he has had a great break out season. There is a heck of a lot to like about his game and he has exceeded expectations this season. On the whole I do like his calm approach on the ball, and it does look like he has been learning from VVD in that regard. With that said, occasionally, calm can become lackadaisical, and that was a careless one today.
Man Utd are frauds. They play 50% better against us. Their idiotic fans (plenty of whom were indulging in dodgy chants) will be delighted at drawing against Liverpool, but they really should be asking themselves why they are in 6th spot, as the club is still more rotten than not.
The refereeing was uneven. Man Utd could grapple us, hold us, go in studs up, the lot. If we had the slightest of touches the other way, Taylor couldn’t wait to blow his whistle.
I think I am right in saying that 50% of the Prem losses we have had since Klopp came have been refereed by Anthony Taylor. I can’t remember where I read it, but if that is even remotely true, it demands an investigation as we are getting short shrift there.
Still, for the sake of my mental health I would rather concentrate on what is within our grasp, and if Salah, Szobo and Darwin were even average in their finishing today, we win that one 4-2, at least.
There’s still plenty of football to be played. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little apprehensive about the three away games in six days, but there no reason why we can’t dig deep and still win the Premier League. It is far from a foregone conclusion that Arsenal and Abu Dhabi are going to win all their games. We can still do this.
Oh, and as for the bickering I was reading above, I do understand it, as we are pissed off at the way in which we dropped points to our big rivals.
But as good reds, let’s try to remember to be better to each other.
Peace.
True but when Some mentioned about another cb which could have won us the title, there was anger and dismissive comments like it was their money.
I do hope Amorim replaces Klopp as I think he is on a similar wavelength with coaching players and getting the best out of players.
I criticised him today when he took the wrong option to find a pass that was cut out instead of running through on goal, what it appears you actually want me to do is lay siege on him and portray him as the sole reason we lost 2 points, that I won’t do…so you’re obviously not paying as much attention as you think you are.
You’ve asked me about Nunez about 10 times the last few weeks so I’m starting to think you’re RER’s 2nd account.
Those thinking that United display their actual form against us, and vice versa, really haven’t been watching this rivalry very long. We used to be them, stinking it up just to deliver in our cup finals against them. The clubs have a special place in their hearts for these matches, especially the team who isn’t currently going great.
So from that point of view, I don’t see a game against United at their house as a game against ‘mid-table dross’. Sure once we controlled the game after the first 15 we absolutely should have killed the game off when we had the chance, which we did have multiple times.
This draw is surely going to hurt us given our difficult-to-navigate fixture list. We are experts at making a football season more difficult than it needs to be. And the thing is, I don’t think this season I am going to be happy with the phrase “…we came so close!” and also being able to reflect on a result like today.
Agreed with the statement…“Quansah has stepped up to the plate”…pls leave the lad alone…later on in the game he made tackles that deserved applause…
It is only to be expected that there is a lot of doom and gloom about after securing 1 point instead of 3… it’s only natural that as a fan, it hurts like crazy when we are short changed. Hurts even more when we ourselves are to blame for the shortfall… To me though, I still think we will win the PL this season - If I could write the script, I would have us beating the Cheaters by a single solitary point - a single, shitty, scrappy point. Just how sweet would that feel in righting some of the wrongs those Bastards are guilty of eh
Calm rational lads like this guy…
Just been watching the Casimero ‘tackle’ on Diaz again. Fucking unbelievable, comes in at speed both feet off the ground, out of control and plants his studs into Diaz’s ankle.
Anthony ‘Kopite’ Taylor (© Rambler) is 3 yards away looking right at it and I’ll assume the cheat VAR has any number of angles to view it.
It’s these sort of incidents where the club should be demanding explanations from Howard Cunt but as we know they’ll say fuck all.
Very disappointing outcome of the game. Yes, Quansah made a horrible error to gift them a goal, but if Salah, Dom, Nunez finish their
chances, we come away with 3 points. We lost the game because we couldn’t finish our numerous chances.
The usual excuses…
“The match was almost over, no point in a red card”
“Diaz wasn’t really injured”
Load of bollox. Curtis Jones got the softest red card ever, if measured by those standards.
How anyone can come to the conclusion from the below alone that Nunez missed the “biggest chance in the game” Jack the lad, let’s not be silly.
I agree. And we are already up that 1 pt on the cheaters… but there is one problem… Arsenal…
That’s the part that is disappointing with Quansah. He can turn it up if he wants to but needs to realise he needs to ne at least mentally switched on at all times…
Missed this one altogether so clearly can’t comment on the game…except…
Not beating the Mancs always hurts, and drawing is a very small consolation.
Positively there are 7 games left, we must win then all as there is a fair chance Arse will drop a point or two somewhere, but please no more efforts like this!
Maybe Jurgën thought he had enough firepower and kept them back for the run in when we are bound to have more injuries…who knows. I would be really surprised if they dont at least make the bench next week
Says some point in April on that, it’s been 14th April. Some reason This is Anfield suggested it was this match but Klopp didn’t say that.
