Post match: Man Utd v Liverpool (FAC 24/1/21 5.00pm)

It reminded me of BR’s time with Mignolets poorly placed wall and positioning (Becker’s was worst than Migs :scream:) and all that ducking.
Becker did make a nice dive though.

Carvalio executes an exquisite Arabesque En arriére.

Not even the crease in his shorts are disturbed by Faniho’s attentions.

Your previous question being?

My comments on Cavani was that he went down easily… bought the freekick.

It’s part of football and we certainly don’t complain when our guys “go down too easily”

If Mo or Sadio had done that, there would have been plenty of comments, about going down too easily, from shearer and bluenose lineker.

Maguire then Pogba were standing at the end of our wall then moved away after uglymug struck the ball in exactly that gap this is not allowed now how come the ref didn’t move them?

Attackers can stand at either end as long as they are a metre away from the nearest opposing player which is not much really. About arm’s length.

Cavani was already rolling around Fab well before the ball arrives!
Cheating Scum

There was a Liverpool player on either side of the Manc players

I think you mean Thiago who was not even in the wall…and looks like he ducked out of the way :flushed:

That wall is rediculously placed! :sob:

That’s because they don’t go down easily (in comparison to the divers) however your wrong we do complain when our players go down because nothing is awarded to us unless they are hit by a sledge hammer and even then only occassionally. Just look at Pickford on VVD!

That was not your point you said they are only allowed to stand at either end of the wall Thiago ducking is irrelevant?

How did Thiago pmanage to duck so low? :upside_down_face:

The irony is that he had taken up the perfect position to defend the shot to the right hand post …

Hindsight is a wonderful thing…why didn’t we go two more yards back, nearly on the line and someone lay on the pitch…why oh why oh why.

How can anyone say that’s a foul after seeing it from that angle? Absolutely no contact.

Why not stay standing and take one on the thigh for the team?
Surely they practice these things in training.

But they do it…and the officials fall for it…these officials must know the main culprits of feigning fouls…we do, so why do they persist in falling for this cheating.

Because they are corrupt. Whoever was VAR is corrupt also, there was no contact and Cavani was clearly cheating. Yet they couldn’t see it on VAR? I don’t think so.

Also if they give that as a foul, surely it’s a second yellow card for Fabinho and he’s sent off. Pawson didn’t card him because he knew it wasn’t a foul.
