The thing is he hasn’t the holding ability of Gini or the vision of Hendo to get stuck with the ball in the 6 position in the EPL.
His passes are also too lobed it’s like watching a great hanging kick in rugby played by the flyhalf over the defense for the outside center to get on the end of at full tilt. His passes along the ground through the center are often a wonder (in the good positive sense of the word wonder).

The whole lot outside Mané and Shaquiri were off the boil. It really was a poor match and the goals in it reflected how poor it was.

I think that’s a movement problem ahead of him. If the movement was better we’d see those pinged passes on the floor more often.
