Post match: Man Utd v Liverpool (FAC 24/1/21 5.00pm)

yeah lets forget the two gifts by milly and williams for goal 1 and 2

Fabinho actually played Greenwood on for their first as well although he was left all alone which was pretty criminal to be honest.

jus unfair playin fab with williams…jus puts so much pressure on fabs

So at fault for 2 today.

I’m stretching it a bit to be honest. Our back line certainly wasn’t square at that point which allowed Greenwood to get a little further than perhaps he should have. But in actual fact the issue is how we lost the ball, allowed United to move it quickly and unchallenged to Rashford and then allowing Greenwood a free run at the entire left side of our defense.

All in, I thought it was a bad goal to concede. Very uncharacteristic.

More I think about the more I feel there’s something that wasn’t quite right with Roberson this evening.

One thing I am seeing on my twitterfeed which is driving me mad is, that since Thiago arrived and started playing in the matches, we haven’t won a game, they think its funny. I still think he is an important player for us.

Jesus wept. Talk of corruption and bent officials had me thinking I was on Blue Moon. It’s not a conspiracy every time we lose ffs! So let’s try be civil to each other.
Ref did well for the whole, got done by Cavani at the end but that is experienced centre forward play. Fabinho should learn from it, he can’t always win the ball so take a step off.
We got two nice goals and looked dangerous several times. Disappointed with the three we conceded (no need to point out individual mistakes as we all are aware) but personally I’m more confident going into Thursday’s match against spurs after today’s performance.

I saw signs of fight in the team today and moments of inventiveness which have been missing several weeks.

We’re going to win in Thursday and drag ourselves back into this title race.

better , still wasted chances .
to address the elephant in the room .
to play thiago you need fabinho and henderson running to break the attacks .
defence is the base of success, klopp and the people above him must know this and obviously electing not to do anything about , we cant afford to paly all season with fabinho and half matip and WR

That was a decision of the Premier League i.e. the clubs themselves. Nothing to do with the FA…at least get your facts right. The FA have no influence over the Premier League which is wholly owned and administered by the member clubs.

Interesting how screwed we get when we play the team out of their normal positions. The whole dynamic of our success has been undone and everyone looks average at best.
CBs were our problem before Virg arrived and it still is. The difference back then was our geggenpress and all our attack. We either outgunned teams or lost it at the back. Well it’s just losing at the back now because the forwards have been programmed to rely on a constant feed from midfield (and big Virg)
This isn’t going to be an easy fix until we get him back…or FSG find some money down the back of the sofa!

5 weeks ago we were 7 points clear at the top of the league with the exact same squad since Virgil and Joe injury.

I did say a few weeks ago…LFC supporters, around the world, could put £1 in and see how much we accumulated… Spend it on a CB…CB sponsored by fans.

@Wilkored08 ,
I am willing to put in a tenner, if it helps.

I’ll raise that to £20. Crowdfunding isn’t it?

I’m beginning to think that it was Haaland that helped him standout.

Yeah sure, they dont speak at all, at least get your facts right.

He is off form, but have been a lot better than TAA lately. I don’t think their dip in form is comparable really, Robertson have been one of the players with the highest work rate, running up and down, during this long patch of bad form. I love them both, but Robertson has been much better the last few weeks. But yeah neither are at their best, but it’s hard to be at your best when the collective doesn’t function well.
Anyway, that’s my opinion.

@Maria and Bessie that poster has called me and other members names like “you are an idiot”…And criticizing - as if he’s the bigger man - cause he’s been posting more during last season.

Senior members of 10-15 years are now being judged and borderline getting bullied by this poster.

I must say though that TIA had more such occurrences than the new forum…
