The way we played in injury time was the icing on the cake.
Never seen something embarrassing, less inspiring, toothless, ball-less from us.

A lot of new names on the forum tonight. Welcome lads, but please keep things in perspective.
For me its one of those middle ground games didn’t play well didn’t play shite. If we had won you couldn’t have said it was harsh on Newcastle.
Been saying it for a few seasons, we still need an orthodox No 9 for these games.
Sorry but it was until the last 20 we had the Salah chance to cheer, 10 corners and only one looked threatening, in fact how many crosses hit the first man.
Why are we waiting so long to make a change when it’s obvious it wasn’t working?
I have to keep reminding myself that we won the title on the pitch, which is more than most of us would have thought possible in March.
Maybe the midfielders are being less aggressive offensively and making fewer runs forward due to needing to offer more protection due to three CB missing? Can;t really review these things in isolation, as small changes impact the whole team setup and play.
The problem today was that we were just not clinical. At least one of those chances would go in on another day. A game of fine margins, and sometimes the rub of the green settles it (think to the scum deflected injury time winner).
Thats different very different you could win 5 nil but still miss 10 chances have you been shit then too.
Anyway, shit happens, it’s 2020 still, after all.
I hope everyone here gets a good nights sleep and a nice night tomorrow !
In advance, I wish you all a Happy New Year ! May 2021 be a far easier year for all !
there jus seemed no urgency, no commitment from midfield to the front three…
We can’t keep dropping points against the bottom teams. They all have the same template against us, and that is Park The Bus deploy the low block. Our front three is really out of sync right now, is so much like they’re playing alone rather then as our fearsome front three. Part of the reason I feel stems from midfield. They’re not creative enough to find those passing lanes in the the middle of the park that opens up their def. All we do is just pass it back and forth on the outside. When Thiago came on, we have that creator in the middle and immediately we were so much more threatening. His vision allows him to change the direction of play without having the ball going back to the CB before switching the play. I feel if he had started we would’ve won the game easy.
Back to the front three, I think it’s time to give sit one of Mo or Mane out and try something different, we are too predictable. Our moments of the ball is too slow, for some reason, I notice they’re not as comfortable trying bold passes, or risky moves. They play it really safe and hence their attacking plays suffers from it. Also other teams are used to how we play and knows how to defend against us.
Back line was ok today, Nat Phillips struggle with the ball at his feet, Fab was awesome so was Robbo. However, Trent is still out of form I feel.
If Thiago can be a regular starter for us soon, we’ll be back on track.
On to against Burnley, let’s get the win

Up to the finish, we we were. You’d normally back the front three to put away one or two of those chances. Three quarters of the team can’t really do anymore than they did.
5 of 10 is not shit, thats 50%.Zero is shit
Well, weare better than this for me that’s a positive.
It’s a new year tomorrow and Thiago is back that’s about the only two positives from the last game.
Thiago looked good
Wait until our next round of covid tests…
Ba dum tish
I think our biggest problem is our midfield, slow and no imagination. Adding to that trent is completely out of form, we lose half our strength.
But the front 3 missed at least 4 chances you would bet your life savings on one would have gone in.
Yeah…Trent has not been himself since returning…
