Post match: PSG v Liverpool (UCL 5/3/25 8pm)

It’s all about Ali, of course, but we probably ain’t coming home with that win without the crazy bloke from Uruguay…

Him fighting for that ball is totally normal.

The composure when he won it??

If you said you had that on your UCL Bingo Card you’d be full of shit.

Looking at this the morning after, anyone else finding themselves wishing Lucho hadn’t had that shot?

Summed up his game tbh. He’s become something of a one in three player.

I’m not sure on the Ibou one (seen them give) but the offside commentary was wild. I didn’t need the weird semi automated CG picture. He just looked off from still image.

What a let off for Liverpool. Yeah, but he was offside. It’s was so close. Yeah, but he was offside. PSG are so unlucky. Yeah, but it was offside.

The narrative from TNT seemed to be that the aesthetics of the goal should overrule the legality of it.

Absolutely incredible game.

However, damn I wish we’d landed Kvaratskhelia. Incredible player, and would be an amazing addition to our left side. Bit of a step up to our current left sided line up.

I actually like listening to McCoist. He reacts to what he sees like a real fan and doesn’t overanalyse or pontificate like most of them…

Give me him every time over McManaman or Carragher…

I had a bluenose message me last night that he is even more convinced now that Ali McCoist is a kopite after his over the top reaction to our goal.

I also liked the temporary headline from the BBC live feed during the first half: “Opener ruled out for offside”

How is that an opener if it’s ruled out? :person_shrugging:

@Mascot it was SO absurd from McCoist! I was like

I’m surprised he had anything left to give on 87mins. He was like a lad of 19. He had more orgasms in the first half than I could manage in a week.

“Liverpool have beaten the reigning champions of England, France, Germany and Spain this season without conceding a single goal.”….makes it all the harder to swallow therefore what with Arsenal winning the league against Citeh the other week and then winning the CL last night!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

McCoist was better when Ferdinand slipped off to go pitchside…
At one point Rio, looking to be proved correct about Dembele asked McCoist about the battle of the wingers…McCoist should have told him to shut his flappy ducks mouth…

He used to be decent now he is just like all the others.
The amount of times he jizzed over Dembele dropping the shoulder…but didnt mention anything about no end product and having at least 5 shots from the edge of the box that hit the Eiffel Tower.

TNTs commentators were a disgrace last night. They waxed lyrical all night about how great PSG were and how poor LFC were - and for large parts of the game that was true but the constant if LFC get out of here without getting line was so annoying. They should surely be routing for the English side in Europe. Felt like id tuned into Canal+

Then we have to endure Rio Wankernand just hating us and calling for every PSG foul etc. Why do they put United players on our games?

Then, we go 1 up and all of a sudden its “a mature performance” a “lesson in how to play away in Europe” Utter jokers.

That Fletcher is an annoying cunt as well.

Yo @legalalien - not sure what time zone you are in, but whatever it is… I’m sure all the excitement and headlines will have been well and truly done and dusted :0)

That game sums up why football is such a unique sport. Can you imagine any other sport where one side can dominate so much and still lose?

Tennis, rugby, cricket, boxing. Just couldn’t happen. Got to love it.
