I am angry, sad, frustrated as much as all of us.
I just don’t know how to deal with it right now. ![]()
Except I haven’t done that in the posts you’ve been replying to. I have been talking about the match just like you. Just don’t agree with your points
Shankly
You (and @wyld.at.hrt) can call it whatever you want. It’s a semantic argument about terminology. If you don’t want to call it a hobby, fine. Call it something else. Call it a pastime, a leisure pursuit. Call it a passion.
All I’m saying is that we all need to find some balance to actually find a way to enjoy the thing we care so much about when things are shit. If all it does is make you fucking miserable, then you have a problem. Yes, the performances are shit, the manager looks lost, the players look like they don’t give a fuck, and the owners seem content twiddling their thumbs.
We still have to find something in it that brings us enjoyment. We all need to think about our mental heath, and how much it’s a good idea to be angry about things we have no agency over.

PSG were expected to win and did, no surprises. But why should we just accept the chasm between two teams? #LFC have gone from believers to doubters again, Arne Slot and those above him are to blame for that.
: “Liverpool tore into their opponents, the unbreakable bond that vintage had with the supporters helped carry them across the line. “At present, it does not look like the current crop have a goal in them, let alone a fightback for the ages. Nor a clean sheet.”
They outclassed us last season but we weren’t far off. We bought the players we did in the summer to bridge that gap. Now we’re playing like minnows.
: “That Slot has referenced the club’s history and the Anfield factor, as opposed to any of his players, is telling.”
Good old Joycey. Keep doing your shilling mate.
With respect,
Its not a semantic argument. Earlier you referenced trainspotting, a bizarre comparitor in
fairness. For me, this is investment, emotionally.
And regarding this making me constantly miserable. You obviously didn’t notice my pre match comments on City and PSG. I naively thought we might get results and was excited about both matches. I can love this club and still be dissapointed.
Finally, I dont need advice on mental health, and using this in a discussion regarding football is disrespectful towards people with mental health issues. Football may negatively impact on wellbeing and feelings. That’s as deep as it goes for most people.
I’m angry with many things I have no agency over, Trump, War, Israel, but its not defining me as a person.

This tweet from Lewis Steele encapsulates everything that I find so frustrating, and the reason why I currently get followed around the forum by lads like Wyld at heart accusing me of trolling.
But why should we just accept the chasm between two teams?
Who exactly is accepting a chasm between the two teams? Who is looking at the performances this years and saying ‘this is fine’.
I’m not, and I still get accused of being an apologist for Slot and the team.
It’s absolutely fucking unacceptable to win the Premier League, spend £450m and find ourselves in a struggle to finish top five, and look in a totally different league to PSG. People absolutely should lose their jobs.
Nobody is accepting the chasm between the team or what has happened to us this season.

And I would say to that, who are you to tell other people that they aren’t emotionally invested in their hobbies? Who are you to tell the old lad who lives down the road from me and has devoted his life to Amateur Dramatics that his passion doesn’t matter as much because it isn’t football?
My grandad went all round the world looking at trains. He went to China in the 70s to see a rare locomotive when that was a lot harder to do than it is now. He’s been to India, Russia, all across the Americas, following that passion. The only reason you see it as a bizarre comparison, is because you aren’t interested in trains and you aren’t part of that community.
Fucking hell.
Imagine a thread derailed…
By trains?
What the actual fuck?
I’ve posted so many times that I think Slot should be sacked. What do I need to do to get you off my back? Call him a useless cunt? Make everything I post about how much I fucking hate him?
The difference between me and you is the level of sheer vitriol we consider it appropriate to level at the people in charge and our interest is causes of our malaise other than the manager.
Put it this way, if you think sacking Slot magically sorts everything out you are in for a nasty surprise. He should be removed as a first order of business, but there are lots of other problems that need sorting out as well
There you go again, ‘difference between you and me’ shit positioning yourself as somehow superior. Your ‘stating’ of he should be sacked is little more than a Trojan horse because it gives you an in as you never quantitfy it nor attempt anything other than a deflection or justification of shit performance after shit performance. It’s literally a wind up between your arrogance in stating how people should behave, what they just saw and how it should be interpreted.
For the record, I never once slated Slot personally or used any derogatory behavior too him so your statement is invalid on it’s entirety. As for ‘following you around’, well you’re strutting around here like you know best week after week so it’s bemusing you expect that people just let you be. All in all, your stance is apologist and a wind up in it’s entirety.
@wyld.at.hrt Let’s just stop replying to each other. All we’re doing at this point is just winding each other up.
Klopp xxx
Compated to City at least I thought the players put the effort in and worked hard.
There is a but!
No use working hard without coherent direction!
I just don’t know how to deal with it right now.
Ask a few Everton fans, they’ve been dealing with this crap for four decades.
I don’t want to live that long thank you😆
