Post match: Rangers v Liverpool (UCL 13/10/22 8pm)

Tbf that’s pretty good going…I’d say that’s about 50 mins longer than the average goer.

It does my head in when some of our supporters want to get rid of him he is our jewel in the crown where are you going to find a player with such “joie de vivre” and with such a glorious smile I would quite happily give him another 3 year contract

I was raging at the telly to get rid of costas and all the back passing and heart in the mouth when we get dispossessed in our own half fairly similar to Sundays second half and then Bobby got going and then I relaxed in the second half wondering what I was worrying about

Liked Elliott and Firmino a lot

He really annoyed me when he was calling for Gomez to get sent off

Our best player this season (alongside Diaz). Mind many of our “fans” wrote him off at the start of the season I would extend his contract on the current terms for 1-2 years in a hindsight.

The difference between Robbo and Tsimikas is night and day.

Tsimikas is an able deputy but doesn’t have the front foot thinking that Robbo does. Robbo wants to bomb forward and whip in the ball.

The more Tsimikas plays you realize how good Robbo is and thats not a dig btw.

After the Rangers’ opening goal… with the team and fans erupting like Bannockburn…I was genuinely thinking “they can actually do this?”.

(Second half) “Nah nah nah”

Europa team fan said this on another forum

“Midtable PL team battering Scottish title favourites”

Divide by 11 + though.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been baffled at the calls for Tsimikas to take the spot off Robbo.

I like Kostas a lot, and he is a really capable deputy. But he isn’t in Robbo’s league.

The biggest drop off in my opinion is the speed each work at. Robbo is much quicker - covering the ground, speed of thought, quick off the mark.

I suspect he makes VvDs life a bit easier as well.

The ongoing problem there is that playing Nunez and Salah at the same time isn’t working

More like the Boyne with them.

Yet. That’s the critical word, yet.

Food for thought on that one. It’s not as if both players are trying to occupy the same spaces and getting in each others way.

Salah doesn’t seem to see the same space to cut inside to when he is playing with Nunez, I think there is some level of getting in each other’s way - though more Nunez trying to occupy space Salah wants to exploit than a reciprocal.

It’s a natural response to a team struggling, the players not playing always raise in importance in the minds of the fans. Especially one who has played as well as Tsimi when he’s ben called upon. I think the criticism of Robbo has been overdone, but when you have a player who looks run into the ground and such a good alternative its even more natural people would want him being played more.

Possible. I shall look out for it next time. Worth noting that Nunez spent 3 games banned following his red card and Salah was still poo.
Still food for thought
