It’s absolutely wonderful. We don’t know yet how Slot’s reign at LFC will pan out, but he has to be applauded for continuing Klopp’s policy towards youth development in such a determined manner. And we won!
I was going to say that he doesn’t seem like he would have played them if not for the injuries, but then again that was also Jürgen’s policy so eh…
Shocking conditions but the job got done. Poor goal defensively. Our lads do stand off attackers at times in the box but hopefully Quansah will learn a lesson from this. Going to be a tough semi whoever we draw tonight.
I was thinking that.
he starts running again pretty quickly.
to be honest, players faking head injury are doing the game an injustice…
he might have been in instant pain, and gone down in a bit of pain, not denying that, but the fact we didnt drag him as a precaution for concussion is evidence enough for me the ref made the right decision…
you stop the game for a serious injury…it was one, so play on…
I’m inclined to agree with your sentiment. Too often players fake it as they know it stops the game.
But Endo is still down when they put the ball in. There’s a lot less reason for him to feign injury on half way than if he was much closer to goal. And the refs absolutely a duty of care that should err on the side of caution.
As with many grumbles with referees, if these things were done consistently many fans would have a lot less to moan about. Where things happen on the pitch really shouldn’t influence the decision they make.
