On such days voting for only one player weighs heavily on me

Ange might be just realising that full on football doesn’t work in the premier league against the better side.

Like him as a character and as a manager. But wouldn’t want him managing my side especially if he doesn’t go for some control.

Yes should have been 10:0 Slot went beserk at how easy it was for us to concede!

Must be nothing more frustrating for a manager than his side giving away cheap gifts, but then again I suppose it is Christmas and we were in the giving mood!!!

It’s boss being a Liverpool fan sometimes. Some lovely, lovely stuff across the board.

Lot of folk voting for Szobo, who really looks like he’s fitting in now in the 10 slot, but I also thought Mac Allister was sensational. We lost a bit of control when he went off.

(Only thing to look at: 8 goals conceded in last three PL games. It can’t just be the loss of Konate. We seem to be getting targeted down the left. That doesn’t necessarily mean Robbo is always to blame - might just be a shape issue?)

Is there a way to add a “vote for your favourite goal” poll?

You can.

The settings button on the right side of the post bar.

Crazy game……silly game but our lads were by some distance the better team.

Got sloppy towards the end but for the most part we were massively impressive.

So much firepower in this team.

Happy Christmas to everyone!

We dominated them, especially in midfield. Then the subs happen. We lost our foothold in the game.
Fortunately, we were playing Spurs, so no harm was done.

It’s a minor concern. I’ll be happier with more control.

We will do better with Tsimikas and Robertson being rotated more and more. Both the left backs will be sufficiently rested then.

Hopefully Konate and Bradley get back to fitness quickly as well.

Outstanding first half followed by a slight drop off after the subs. Overall though the best performance from us all season….

Some easy games against bottom half teams to come next…going to the Leicester and Manu games. Can’t wait to see then at Anfield

1963 Boxing Day esque scoreline.

Flattered Spurs really, gifted them some stupid goals. Defensively we’ve not been particularly good of late so room for improvement there but otherwise can’t really have any complaints, some wonderful goals scored and Salah keeps on breaking records.

I didnt see our left as any issue at all today. Kulusevski did all his best work coming inside playing through the middle and only one of their goals really “came from the left”. Even on that the ball really came from our right with the issue being how spread apart the defense was once there was a second ball to deal with after Johnson’s knock down at the back post (over Robbo). It is explainable, but look at the distance between Virgil and Gomez at that point and the lack of anyone else dropping…or at least doing so effectively.

Tsimi being back and able to rotate with Robbo will undoubtedly be good for us, but this didnt feel like the issue we had defensively today. If anything it leads me to being cautious of not letting the legs of Mac and Gravy get into the red.
