Post Match: Spurs v Liverpool (EPL 19/12/21 4.30pm)

I watched the Europa-League game Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Antwerp. Ref: A certain Paul T.
I thought, he‘s made good decisions in that game.

How deep can one fall…

Neither team wearing a Liverpool kit?

Antwerp in red, someone must have told Tierney he‘s not refereeing in England. It has been a draw.

Guess who is in charge against Chelsea Taylor is the ref and to add insult to injury Tierny is in charge of VAR you cannot make it up!

Klopp needs to go in two footed.

So it‘s impossible to win against 13 men

We have not seen Atkinson this season, I guess that the FA safe’s him for when we got into first place later on.

I cannot understand why we don’t get Oliver anymore. Was there a club, maybe last season, complained to FA he gave us the best decisions? Or am I imagining that?

He doesn’t repeatedly fuck us over and over again, so for the FA it means he is biased in our favour?

its all part of the conspiracy…

He is the ref Sunday against Leeds.

Thing is some refs are generally very shit against us but every week we get a post and several comments about every ref and to be honest most have been fine. Can’t remember the one against Everton but he was actually pretty decent.

Interesting thing about Coote’s last match for us is he gave Preston absolutely nothing, very odd refereeing performance.

Anyhow not sure about how being a bit more argumentive is going sway the refs if they have a conspiracy to cheat us out of it.

Tiernay was shit but I have a feeling he suddenly gets replaced on VAR.

If you want to question something, question why some teams got their games cancelled with a few cases and others were forced to play and how one team was able to train throughout a period of cancellations to be ready for a home game against one of the big three.

Us and Chelsea got shafted this past weekend to be honest.

Did we though, or did Klopp want to play regardless? He’s been very vocal about wanting to continue up to a point.

No one is suggesting conspiracy, some of us are recognising the bias that exists. There is a discernable difference

Using the term conspiracy will not mitigate against or diminish the facts outlined by @jaffod earlier in thd thread.

Hmm says it all doesn’t it.

There might be a bias, I think if every referee is shit I’m going go with every referee being shit it was telling that none of them went to the World Cup last time.

Shouting at them isn’t going change a bias though so not sure how that will change it, it might pressure them so if they are useless then that might work (probably makes it worse if they are bias).

If I’m honest the major issue this weekend was the fact we and Chelsea played with 5 players missing or more and some others seemingly coasting without a single negative test.

Some teams have gamed the system this past week, I can only think of one game probably the Man Utd one that would have gone last weekend as they shut down training but as others have said this should be independently done like drugs tests.

If we had Fabinho and VVD we wouldn’t have drawn that game anyhow. Without Hendo it was even worse.

Unlike Chelsea we didn’t ask for the game to be postponed. We had 4 missing with Covid, VVD, Curtis, Fab and Thiago and that’s not really enough to get a postponement. Originally Henderson was going to play but it seems he was withdrawn quite late on with illness. Take Morton out and replace him with Hendo and that’s a pretty strong team. It’s just unfortunate.

I do agree that some clubs might have been gaming the system and it doesn’t help that not all clubs publicise who is unavailable with Covid. Both us and Chelsea do. I don’t know if clubs have to reveal the names to the PL but if they don’t that is an obvious area where clubs can manipulate the outcome.

He didn’t outline any facts. Just recalled some decisions that went against us over the past decade. He said he wasn’t arsed trying to prove there’s a bias.

Forget the word ‘conspiracy’. You believe there’s some form of institutional/systemic bias against us?

I think in a fair game we could have easily taken all 3 points. Morton actually wasn’t that bad, although I suspect his substitution was very much due to his fitness/stamina…
