Lucky is the word. We’ve rode our luck and won games but that same rode luck brings losses all too easily. Spurs have a little discipline there and we lose. Almost every league win feels like a gifted one. We are NOT going to settle anytime soon.
I’m furious with how we are playing, regardless of an unbeaten run.
Spouting lies in an attempt to get one over on a poster is pathetic tbh.
We were shit, it was a shit game. Everyone knows this and there’s nothing wrong or to be ashamed about with saying it. Ok?

More negatives than positives after a win. We had our customary brainfart defending moment to allow them to score.
However, the most damning thing for me was the atrocious game management after they score and when they went down to 9 men. Spurs were so on top of us. We had absolutely no control of the ball. It was pandemonium.
Slot, liking our performance, understand liking the win but that wasn’t a good performance.

Cagey start. Spurs at home but set up as if playing away meant our slow passing side to side approach was in play for the first 20 minutes.
Second half, Isak coming on and actually looking like a striker. Romero scissor tackle in the follow through to block the shot which lead to the opening goal meant he had to be taken off. Hopefully it’s short term.
Hugo with the second. Two hands on Romero, but the defender tried to make the most of it. It wasn’t a blatant push like the one on Konate a year or so ago, when the player pushed him in the air while not challenging for the ball. We got the on field decision, so a goal. Nice cross by Frimpong.
Two goal lead. Then the same problems. The peacock Richarlison caused issues with both his play and off the ball antics, which lead to Frimpong having to be subbed to probably keep his head.
Final 10 minutes, with Spurs going down to 9, should have been a case of passing the ball around, making Spurs chase for it. Instead we kept making bad decisions, allowing Spurs to launch the ball into the box.
Slot really needs to up his in-game management with regards to using his subs when players are gassed. Those last 10 minutes was a case study in how not play with a man (or two) advantage, from both the players and management.
However, with all that being said, we got the three points and have 6 days for the next match. Hopefully the injuries we picked up are short term.
Thank God Spurs are so… well, Spursy. Their ill discipline was something to behold.
We were v slow and pedestrian first half. Few chances. Didn’t look on it. Much more creative second half for the first 25 mins or so.
Then, like against Leeds, we completely panicked once they got a goal back. And the past 10-15 mins were an absolute disgrace. We were letting the ball bounce in dangerous areas. We were losing second balls. We were losing our heads unnecessarily. We were knocking it long against a team with 9 men, instead of playing around them. It was absolute insanity.
I know we’re in transition, and there are the makings of a good side in there, but the mentality is nowhere near what it was last year. Need to work on being much calmer/not losing our heads when we face adversity in 2026.

yeah i know what you mean about the basics, no one needs to be told to just pass it to a person wearing Red…but…
Slot has to wear some of the blame for the mass panic and the way we go about football, which includes that last 15 minutes…im not the most sophisticated football mind, but i like to think i can moniter the basics and a little bit more on top…
and i just dont see what Slot is trying to achieve with his set up, his pressing, his ponderous possession…
i know alot of people like to ignore the variable of the oppositions performance when it comes to assessing our own performance, but why can we be so slow and build up possesion with zero movement at nil all, yet at 2-0 up and playing 10/9 men, we compact into two (unorganised) defensive lines and cant keep possesion…its weird, and Slot cant hide behind the very true fact that ‘player a’ should be able to pass it to a bloke in a red shirt

Maybe read it again, i state that yes we werent great, but youre only happy when we lose so you can demand we sack slot…seriously do one and grow up, either support the team when its needed or dont, but we all know you love it when we struggle so you can spout the same old crap of sack everything and everyone etc…absolutely shameful you support this club with that attitude

Things build slowly. We lost/drew a lot of games because both the attack and defence were out of whack. Our attack now seems in a good place and seems to be a comfortable bet for us to score.
Defence still needs sorting but there’s nothing doing until Jan there. That said one clean sheet easily becomes two becomes three etc. same as how the attack has now figured it out.

Spuds were disgusting. Ref was a prick. Neither team played good technical footy.
Anyway a win is a win. Why we couldn’t keep a clean sheet is beyond me and what’s wrong with Slot?
