Right now, I am looking at the positives, we got 3 crucial points, we are 5th in the league, we are 4 points off Aston Villa who are 3rd in the league.
However, we need to do better and have Wolves, Leeds and Fulham coming up, we need to get good results from these matches.

Ngl without the injuries I would’ve enjoyed this win - at least some emotions when we play. But I still don’t see a game plan in Slots football. Luck and individual class bailing him out.

I voted for Virg as there were some big headers at the end, but he ain’t no Hendo, in barking orders and getting us in shape and doing the right things from a tactical point of view.

Given his histrionics id imagine Slot was saving Frimpong from himself. Last thing we needed was him stopping himself into a couple of quick yellows, especially given the ref seemed genuinely pissed off by the time he was subbed.
Since we beat Spurs 5-1 last season actually.

I can’t get this performance out of my head, especially after the 2nd red card. I’m so angry. We have 11 men, they have 8 men and one cunt (richarlison). Yet they are the one dominating the play. We have two additional freaking players and we can’t press them. We can’t pass our way out. Nothing except utter chaos.

I think the shade I’d put on Slot is that he needs to get his senior players on earlier. Robertson shouldn’t be coming on so late when we are clearly in need of leadership and experience.
The rest? A team with Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Szoboszkai, Mac Alister and Wirtz should not getting drawn into panic football.

Frank has turned Spurs into a much more ‘physical’ team. Romero and Richarlison cut from the same cloth.
Generally wouldnt wish ill on a player, but Richarlison needs someone to take him out good and proper.

normally the in game match thread on here is such a drag, but for 70 minutes it was the most interesting thing about that game of football and i thought to myself i wish it wasnt, then for the last twenty i thought to myself, i wish it was!

Nice to get 3 points when we didn’t play too well. Not so nice to see the number of injuries. I think Spurs were rather lucky with the 2 red cards in the end. I felt Richarlison was out to injure players again. I can understand Frimpong losing his shit. He was bleeding all over the place and I am far from convinced that was unintentional.
Incidentally, we replaced the same player/position 3 times: Bradley-> Isak-> Frimpong-> Chiesa. Has that ever happened before?

We can pass our way out, if we really want to. It is inexplicable to get drawn into that 15mins. Most of it came from playing as if we were losing the game.
