Post match TV decision, saying we should splash the cash for a defender - £70m and overpay.

First world problems obviously for them. Overpay ffs. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

And Owen Hargreaves says the Bobby decision was an easy handball. No mention at all about Dier hugging him.

Made a rash challenge. Otherwise very, very, solid.

Does anybody know what Matip’s injury is?

Fake tough guy Hojbjerg did it again, having a go at The Boss post match. Chatting shit and running his mouth at Jürgen. Just like he did in his last season at Southampton during a match. Disrespectful crybaby, simply cannot help himself. It’s no wonder Mou loves him the way he does.

Much improved in the second . Thought Nat Phillips was excellent. Mane and Mo improved seriously. VAR fucked us but thought we were lucky with their first so evens up.

What the fuck is up with Matip and our physios.

Millie was decent for a man pushing about 40, still got it :joy:.

Spurs fans rightfully turning on Jose. Once played decent football under Poch to this.

Cursing and screaming after the 3rd minutes…then cheered loudly that we finally got proper VAR call for us. I was holding my breath on how Moss was going to draw the lines. Whew. What a way to start a match. That was indeed the way how dangerous Spurs was in the 1st half. Their counter attacks led to many sweaty palms situation.

My quick impression of the match:

  1. Thiago was great moving the ball forward, however he needs a lot of work on the LFC pressing game.
  2. Hendo again did as well as he could for the back. The usual good match sense to intercept the Spurs attack.
  3. Joel Matip had one outstanding moment shielding the ball away from Son. I wonder if the nagging injury issue slowed him down. It felt that he was a bit on the liability side in the first half when Spurs broke our line.
  4. Sadio and TAA are working their match sense and sharpness back in throughout the match. A goal each, and an assist each.
  5. Curtis Jones did well as a sub today. Nothing to criticize with his performance.
  6. Nathan Phillips got an early yellow when he came on in the 2nd half, but he settled well afterwards.
  7. Robbo with Sadio protected the left flank really well in the 2nd half.
  8. Milly is a bloody machine!
  9. Bobby’s played well today. A goal certainly helped. Too bad that Mo’s goal was called back, but ultimately, it was an unintentional handball.

3 picks:

  1. Sadio
  2. Hendo
  3. TAA

The Boss was not happy with Joel Matip’s injury. Let’s hope that it was nothing serious.

I suspect it is a serious one. And I think John Henry is going to have more missed calls on his phone tomorrow than Adele’s ex-boyfriend.

Do you think I’d be mixing with all you riff raff if I were?

The Boss, in his post match interview said “it looks like a serious one”.

EDIT: if that’s the case, we are officially playing with fire if we weren’t already.
