Dont care how we get 3 points these days, great win.
Perfect ending to an otherwise good day too, work mate offered a Ā£50 bet yesterday, which I eagerly accepted, that the mancs would finish above us in the league.
Bless him
Great resultat, Good first half performance, not a good second half performance at all.
My three MotM:
Salah, two goals, looked sharp all around. Always a menace.
Konate looked back to his best. Think our defence will be much better after the WC, when we (hopefully) have all defenders available.
Nunez, played well. Worked his socks off.
A shout out also to Alli and Robbo.
Not so good: the midfield, looked in trouble all of the second half. Nothing new, but we need to add bodies in midfield if we should have a fighting chance to battle for top four.
Weāve moved closer top four but I think it will be really hard this year. Canāt see Arse and City fall away. Then we have Spurs, Newcastle, Utd, Chelsea and us battling for two posts.
Always good to beat these bottling cunts, especially after hearing Conte talking shite about how they cost us the title last season. The league is decided over 38 games, not 1, and I think Chris Kavanagh has a greater claim to that one.
We looked really good first half apart from Trent being all over the place again. He played some great balls in fairness but defensively he looks shot. having Konate back mitigates against that but itās something that needs sorting out.
2nd half was what I expected. Said to my lad it would be nice if we can keep them out until the 47th minute at least but we only managed that by luck. Sloppy passing, giving up possession too easy, suicidal passing out of defence, no threat at the other endā¦seen it all before and the only surprise was we didnāt concede again.
Wrap them all up until next week, 3 more points before the WC then get Diaz, Jota and Matip back and push on from there.
At last an away win!Yaaaay!
Good first half, rubbish second half but 3 big beautiful points.
Konate MOTM for me,he is really starting to look the goods,Nunez is looking like a hell of a buy, and of course Mo,picking up the odd goal or two.
Now all we need to do is keep on with it!
Painful to watch defensively, but then sprays a couple of worldie 50 yard passes.
Needs a reality checkā¦over to you Gareth, leave the kid at home
I still canāt figure out if the negative and positive cancel each other out. In previous years it has definitely been a positive gain, this year it seems the opposite. He totally fell asleep a few times today.
I also notice that he leaves his opponent in acres of space, and only closes down when the ball is sent that way, however he is so far away that it seems the opponent has an infinite amount of time to decide what to do. I donāt know if he has been told to do this or if itās just bad defending.
Itās a real conundrum, and you have to believe that JĆ¼rgen is as aware of it as we all are. I hate it when fans pick on individual players, especially ones who have given us so much to enjoy as Trent has, but itās not working at the moment and something has to change.
Personally, Iām in the group who think he should be moved into midfield, where his range of passing and foraging runs would be given free rein. Those that argue that he doesnāt have the awareness or discipline for that role have to acknowledge that he spends a lot of his time there anyway. This move can only happen if we sign a top quality right back. Ramsay may be a future star, but that future is still distant.
The other alternative is to find a right sided midfielder with the attributes to cover for Trent when he goes walkabout, but that would mean dropping Elliott and stifling his budding career. I hope we can keep TAA in the team, as heās a wonderful talent, but we canāt afford to rely on business as usual on that side of the pitch.

I remember reading that when he was in the u23 of u18, the coach put a tricky winger vs him in practice, it used to frustrate him and wind him up. We maybe need to do this even more.
The problem is that TAA at this moment does not have what it takes to play in our midfield. The lack of stamina is glaring. Even Thiago does better than him in lasting a whole match and I think Thiago is far from able to match Henderson and Gini in terms of hustling and stamina wise in our best seasons. TAA used to have the luxury of having 2 workhorses in Gini and Hendo who will run anywhere and everywhere to win balls back and happen to be damn good at that. Thiago with all his superb presence and skills, is just not that kind of player and Hendo is getting old so TAA would be left cold in his current position but at the same time, moving him into the midfield just because of his passing abilities would kill the dynamics of the midfield or at least the midfield of past seasons. I am of the opinion that TAAās problem in RB is not a matter of capabilities but its a matter of composure and building up the stamina and he would be a much more rounded player in that position.
, you took the words right out of my mouth, 100 percent
Not sure about that. It takes a lot of stamina to run up and down the wing all game as he has to, and he doesnāt get as much of a rest as Robbo.

Itās bad defending, we went to 5 at the back so their wide players had no time to cross the ball yet near the end Peresic was in 20 yards of space and you check where .Trent is heās 20 yards up field on his own marking nothingā¦ Hendo was going mad at him.
That for me shows itās not tactical just a player checked out of his defensive duties.
Their shot early in the second half that hit the bar. Dier hit a cross field pass that missed Kane and inadvertently went into the space on our right. Trent was clearly unaware that Sessegnon was charging onto it and was lightly jogging thinking it was harmlessly going nowhere. Itās just bad defending, not being aware of whatās happening around him.
Moving him into midfield doesnāt mean weāll get the same output from him. Heās effective at rb as the whole pitch is in front of him. Putting him into midfield thereās more bodies and heāll need to receive the ball on the half turn or back to goal.
Thatās not to say he canāt adapt but wouldnāt happen immediately.
Itās blatantly obvious when Gomez played there.
We do have options at RB.
Be interesting how Ramsey plays with Gomez on Wednesday (I assume that is who will be picked).
Dunno whatās up with him. Robboās levels dropped frankly because he played too much. He has been a lot more like his old self in recent weeks. Tsimkas also helps, hopefully Ramsey can come on and at least provide cover that Klopp is happy to interchange.
The second half underlines our problem this season. We have a depleted squad and everyone is knackered. Q22 canāt come sooner.
Yup, reserves on Wednesday give some of the ones who have played lots some rest.
They had a tough game at home to Torquay and you can always put Salah or Nunez on the bench just in case (assume itās 5 subs).
A performance in a football match is always a function of two teams, especially at the top of the league. You arenāt great without the other team letting you be. You arenāt awful without the other team making you be.
I donāt know what people expect from an away game with Spurs, but weāre are not going to go there and boss them about. There are always spells where weāll need to dig in and ride our luck.
The performance I saw was an assured and slick first half, in which we were on top, pushed Spurs back and were ruthless with our chances. The second half we had to dig in and defend deep, as Spurs upped the intensity and poured forward.
Some people would say we should have controlled the game in the second, but thatās easier said than done. Spurs pressed hard and we barely got a second on the ball.
In short, criticise all you like, but thatās exactly the performance that gets you three points away at Spurs.
Thatās true, but it doesnāt mean there isnāt room for improvement. Itās hardly an earth shattering revelation that there is a weakness on our right side, especially defensively. Why that is so is worthy of debate.
Iām sure the vast majority of LFC fans are very pleased with the result and a lot of aspects of our performance, but there are always things to work on.
