Post Match: Villa v Liverpool (EPL 19/2/25 7.30pm)

No he didn’t. He put it on a plate for our £85m centre forward who blazed a tap in over the bar.

Right decision, right execution, wrong player on the end of it.

To the keepers right, then if he saves it, it has a chance to go to Nunez

His legs were wide open like a prostitute.

Slot really pissed me off with his subs. We’re struggling, and he ends up using 4(3) of them. A right back, a forward and a winger, who looked like he shouldn’t be playing.

God forbid he takes out Gravenberch, who has been missing for the last 3 games. Mac Allister will be fighting on his own in the midfield until he too breaks down. Villa waltzed through our midfield for 90 minutes but no Endo in sight. Nothing to alleviate the problem. Instead, he put Diaz on after saying that he wasn’t good to go, wasting a sub and getting absolutely nothing in return. No Elliott in sight, no Chiesa. Only the same 13-14 players he has run into the ground and are now collectively struggling.

The Liverpool side of the past 3 games isn’t winning anything. By the end, Villa looked more like a championship contending team than we did.

If he shoots, no issue and in hindsight he should have.

Why should he

Macca keeps talking about tiredness, don’t like that mindset as it becomes self fulfilling.

Trent sub was the wierd one more than Jotas especially after he had scored. Seen it many a time when Trent isn’t on we don’t find Salah. He goes quiet as most of the play is through the middle. When we don’t find Salah we don’t score a lot.

But he creates a better scoring chance by passing.

Zero issue with him passing. A huge issue with the bloke who failed to tap it in.

Anyone pointing fingers at Szobo is frankly an idiot.

Issue for Grav, and the opposition waltzing through the centre is that he is being dragged out right too much rather than sitting centrally and helping.

It was a difficult pass to pick out Nunez rather than to score. Should have definitely taken the shot. A neat finish to the right.bottom corner.

True and I expect a dog fight.

At least right everything is totally in our control even though Arsenal will probably reduce the margin to 5 points before we play City.

And we have had a reasonable run with injuries compared to others and hopefully no big outs. Praying Salah and Virg stay fit that’s for sure.

And then there is the media who will be frothing with the usual drivel if we drop more points.

Do you guys believe the club would just sell Nunez to a Saudi club and he or his agent have no say, he got two young children and I think his partner does modelling, how does this fit into Saudi life.

Hard pass, which he actually hit perfectly, but most players would shoot and I would have no issue if he had.

It’s amazing how motivating an enormous pile of cash can be.

Come on Arsenal - do us a favour and lose to Hammers in Saturday. Then it’s a cake walk as Forest will beat them next.

And if he’d missed the benefit of hindsight would say he should have passed.

But if Nunez rolls it in, no one need worry about any of this.

Thought that at the time. Trent had the bit between his teeth and was driving us forward when he got taken off

A draw is fine.

And I’m sorry to say this because I really really like him, but I think Darwin will be moving on in the summer. When your side really needs you, you can’t miss an open net like that. Not blaming Darwin, but number nines get paid to finish those chances.
