Post Match: Villa v Liverpool (EPL 4/10/20 7.15pm)

Posted pre-match we’d be ok if Adrian didn’t fuck up and it took 4 fucking minutes for him to do just that. He needs replacing asap as in tomorrow.
That said can’t really blame him for the other 6. Everything that could go wrong did, injuries in training, Covid, individual shit-shows, 3 spawny goals the likes of which we never, ever get, a cunt of a referee who bought everything Villa were selling and a fucking fat clown on VAR. Nailed on pen at 1-0 and a couple of dubious offsides in their favour.
At least I wont have to worry about the lads going off to play for Brazil because Allison wont be and I wouldn’t have the other 2 anywhere near the derby. In fact I’d tell Bobby to stay in Brazil for 3 weeks and try and come back as something resembling a footballer because for the last 9 months he looks like he’s won a fucking competition to play for us.
In some ways a display like that might work in our favour with those bitter twats on the horizon. Any arrogance or complacency should be well and truly blown away.
If I could pick a team right now it would be a midfield of Henderson, Tiago and Milner with Mo, Sadio and Jota up top. Jota showed plenty tonight and I think he’ll be a good buy for us.
I think Gomez will be fine. Maybe we’ll adjust our tactics for the bitters but I don’t see Ancelotti trying to exploit us in the same way as Villa did.
Mo, Jota and Robbo my picks for MOTM, everyone else fucking sucked. Final word on Gini, for the first time I’m not arsed if he fucks off, I’m sick and tired of his no-shows. One of the strangest players I’ve ever seen - on his day truly world-class and then totally anonymous the next. I’d rather see Curtis Jones given a chance.

FUCK!!!

Klopp on ALI…No chance to play against Everton. We don’t know exactly. Let me say, it could have been worse with that injury, that’s for sure. We were slightly lucky but it’s not that he can play against Everton. I don’t want to put a timeframe on it but four weeks could be possible, six weeks is maybe more likely, but I don’t know. We have to assess this thing, that’s how it is.

The fuck???

Considering we just lost 7-2 I’m remarkably upbeat.

This is a one off freak result, we ran very good in lots of situations last year and today was basically all of that catching up with us.

We conceded 3 crazy deflections today which is prob more than the whole of last year, lets put this result alongside losing the CL final to Madrid and getting 97 points but only finishing second and use it to spur us on to number 20 !!!

He was shit but so were Fabinho and the invisible man. I hope none of them start the derby.

I know what you’re thinking (which actually scares the living daylights out of me), but I don’t think @jaffod means @Neukölln. @Neukölln is too good for that.

I mean it sure seemed that way…

While I’m still here, after several large G&T’s to numb the pain, can someone tell me why we signed Minamino? As bad as Keita was, he gave us nothing after replacing him for the 2nd half. I just don’t get it, was he bought just to sell more shirts in Japan or what?

Who’s the invisible man? I didn’t see him.

Nah, I love the fella. When I quoted his post the bit about Maddock didn’t show.

I’m just gonna stay away from any websites or footie watching for a couple of weeks for my sanity and wellbeing. Oh look the Lakers are winning.

Need Hendo back for leadership and Mane back for his drive. Adrian is not the right keeper to play the high line with

That’s the Nobel Peace Prize for me sorted then. Phew.

Oh that is worrying now. Kelleher?

Before the game, my 89yr old father, a life long Liverpool fan, asked me what I saw in Firmino. I tried to explain what Bobby brings to the team, apart from not scoring goals, unfortunately to no avail, he wasn’t having any of it. After the shit show tonight, he again asked me what I saw in Firmino. I got my coat and left.

I’ve been Bobby’s biggest fan and have defend his lack of goals because he creates so much but even that is deserting him now. The once silky touch is gone one instance the ball came to him his control was so bad the ball bounced off his foot like his foot was a tennis racket.

That’s a fair point that. Unfortunately, it will be lost in amongst the terrible defending, shite keeping and lucky deflections, but how the fuck wasn’t that a penalty on Salah? One of the clearest penalties I’ve seen this season.

Yeah you have to remember the Leicester result last week.

Again, if you actually read what I wrote and not what you think I wrote…

I’ve no arguments we were well, well beaten. But well beaten is shipping four or five goals. Three of their goals came about because one of our lads got a block in and the ball spun into to the goal.

Three.

Three fucking deflections.

If you want to tell me that doesn’t take an element of luck, then maybe you could show me another game where a team has three shots deflected in the goal.

And less of the having a mare shit please. I think a mare is some of the shit on display in the match thread, absolutely crucifying a lad who has been a key part of the best Liverpool team I’ve ever seen.
