Uncannily, the exact same thing happened at our u18 match (team that I coach) yesterday arvo, tussle for the ball (no foul or whistle) keeper got up, rolled the ball to take a kick from the ground and our striker simply reacted first and passed it into the empty net.
The opposition coach sort of looked at me expecting us to somehow rescind the goal however I just ignored.
Weird that the two instances (which I can’t recall ever seeing before) happened within a week.
