I don’t think that is anywhere close to the highest priority. There won’t be much for Salah at this point, with that contract versus his performance getting someone else to pay him will likely be about as good as it gets - barring perhaps a face-saving amount.
There are quite a few higher priorities in the squad.
The same Rio that gave the ball away most times he got it and didn’t even attempt to tackle for the winning goal. He’s a talented kid and we have high hopes for him, but he’s not ready to start PL games yet
I assume he wanted Poulsen as he was a former player.
Though saying our club is in a really shit place is a bit hyperbole. Especially considering the era of Hodgson mentioned. That’s when we were in a shit place.

Oh I remember the Hodgson era perfectly well. I sat through it. But a bit of perspective is needed I think.
Hodgson managed this club for 31 matches.
Hodgson lost 9 of those 31 games. Slot lost 14 of 31 at one point.
Hodgson spouted shite. Slot spouts shite.
It was shite under Hodgson but the club nipped it in the bud quickly.
We’ve been dogshit for longer this season than Hodgson was here, after spending half a billion quid.
