Post match: Wolves v Liverpool (EPL 4/2/23 3pm)

Yes put players on the pitch who understand what a derby is about. Tempting to give Gallagher and Gerrard a kit … :innocent::joy:

Who?

Liam

The Oasis knobhead?

Kirsty.
Probably got bigger balls than some of our lot are displaying recently

Not much doubt there. I’d hand a shirt right now to both Carra and Souness

Jesus, we really are bad then?

At least they’d give a shit. If someone ran past them it wouldn’t be for wanting of trying or lack of fouling.

There is effort because you badly want to win.

Then there’s effort because of your competitive fire.

Then there’s effort for the shirt and the fans.

Then there’s effort because it’s your professional standard.

And then there’s us at the moment

When Klopp resigned from dortmund he said to the owners this isnt working so im going as its easier to replace 1 man than the team. A few months later the owner admitted it wouldve been better to replace te team and keep Klopp.

Theres a massive rebiuld needed and but i dont think the current owners are interested.
if up to me id get rid off

gomez
matip
hnderson
milner
fabhino
ox
keita
maybe Salah

I wonder where the break down in communication is.

  1. Manager has his ideas that he passes onto the coaches
  2. The coaches pass it onto the players
  3. The players go out and act on the instructions

It can only really be between 2 and 3 for me and not actually 2 or 3…The players and coaches haven’t become useless overnight. It has to be something systemic that has outlived it’s usefullness - individualization (or lack of) of coaching, training routines, too many group hugs, something, something is distinctly off in Oz…

Starting to feel like Dalglish’s for me, at the end of his second stint. OK we won a trophy that year but couldn’t buy a win in the league.

I wasn’t close enough to Klopp’s last seasons at Dortmund but I seem to remember he turned it round. We are going backwards at the moment.

Thats only half the job , who are the 4 home grown players you are replacing them with?

Was just thinking the same

I don’t disagree, I was puzzled by it as well when I first saw it, just saying that it was characteristic also when we were flying and winning things, so has nothing to do with our problems.

For the rest, yes, again, fair points.

Agreed, unless you want Rafa fired

I’d love his final season at Dortmund.

Reminder he qualified for Europe and nearly won a cup. I was hoping it would mirror after our dismal start this season but it didn’t.

i dont get how after WC weve come back worse and to come back than worse than before WC takes some doing.

It really is baffling.

Those 4 or so games before it felt like something to build on and there was the semblance of goals. The hit on the counter was there but there was a team good enough to at least make a move on the European places.

Villa seemed to be similar to those 4 even with their 20 minute rally. Leicester seems to have destroyed all confidence.

We weren’t perfect in that period and we had faults but the current level is pub levels of inability. It’s like some are learning to play for the first time.

It’s similar to the performances in that 2 years ago attack wise but bar Man City I don’t remember being battered in that period.
