Alisson Becker:
“I don’t know what we need to happen to us to wake up. We come here, say we have to believe in ourselves but we don’t act like that on the pitch or deserve that.”
Ouch!

Klopp didn’t had the choice though. We literally only got 6 first team forwards for 3 positions in the front. If one of them got a long injury, Klopp has to rely on the kids. If Salah is injured now, who would realistically come in for him and offer that same goal threat? Harvey?
Thing is it’s not like the issue is a new one why the persistence with the same tactic that isn’t working.
In fact the last goal did at least bring back fond memories of being down on the counter.
Nunez stated this past week he has trouble understanding what Klopp wants from him due to language difficulty. Why hasn’t Nunez learned some basic English? Or better yet how about an interpreter part time being hired? Additionally, he needs to get some finesse in his scoring moves not just strait power kicks easily blocked.
MotM Bajčetić. At 18 he shouldn’t be holding the rest of the team up but that’s were we are.
Overall this just felt retrograde. We were playing with 3rd and 4th choice centre backs and it showed.
Any bright sides? We looked better at the start of the second half and Gakpo looked more effective on the left with some promising interplay with Robertson.
That’s about it. I suspect that there’s some upset behind the scenes with the whole ownership situation being up in the air. The sooner that’s sorted the better.
Can we stop this Top Red bullshit. It’s childish nonsense. It’s not advancing your argument. It’s just making you look like a bit of an idiot.
There is a saying, that we all use and we’ve all heard…its…You Should Never Laugh At Another Man’s Downfall…we did at…Barcodes, Bitters, Gooners, the Mancs…etc…but now the boot is on the other foot, and we are the laughing stock. We need to take it on the chin…
Too fucking right. All we’ve been hearing these past few months were those exact soundbites: ‘not good enough, need to believe, we working hard’. Time they put their money where their mouth is.
Klopp on Liverpool situation: “There’s no excuse. I can’t explain it — first 15 minutes were horrible. It needs to be changed, I’m sorry”.
We’ve not seen a change all season though Jurgen, after Brentford heads have dropped into a black hole and the ground has closed in on them. Trapped. No way out.
The summer then… we are building a lot of expectation around the next window. Anyway, it will be this group that has to get us to the summer and if we haven’t turned the corner by then, no mater who comes in, the next season will also be a write off.
Another simpleton post look at the chances he misses.
But it’s true ain’t it? Just look at SoS’ statement and how they think they represent all the fans of this club.
Haaland does miss as well, but the chances he gets are plentiful and are of high-quality.
You don’t see KDB doing a hendo hoofball all game long, right?
Thinking back over the game, one word just came to mind - amateurish. There was noting coherent, or indeed professional, in our approach and it was like watching a sunday league pub team instead of the super motivated, highly payed and incredibly skilled professionals.
I think Klopp needs to give the team, players and backroom staff, a piece of his mind and not wait to say the right thing to the right person at the right time. Both barrels, straight up and raw.
Unless this club gets a huge windfall!
Can we get players in till the summer? Unless we turn the corner this season, it will be another transition season next. Whether we get 30 new players or a select few, if we are still trying to find form at the start of next season it will be tough.
Wonder what books the players and coaches will write after this season.
Well, long story short, if we want the club to do well, the ownership situation needs to be sorted out, key appointments holders in the backroom will need to be the top of their class so that their opinions will be seriously considered by Klopp.
Only then, can we consider the continuation of the playing staff’s association with us. We shouldn’t be too afraid to sell some players on the cheap or even reach an agreement to mutually terminate some player’s contract if they are seriously underperforming for a long period of time despite the coaches and sport psychologists’ best attempt to motivate them and properly recondition them physically and mentally. Leaving the deadwood here for too long takes up valuable squad space.
Books on making memorable quips in the press…
All of this is irrelevant. Unless we sort it out between now and the end of the season, we will still be in the merde next season. You can have all the support and pampering for the player you want but it will be these players that will have to do it.
