Forget the man of the match poll; the real question is, what was the biggest surprise?
a) We won a game
b) We kept a clean sheet
c) Naby completed a full 90 minutes
Answers on a postcard to the usual address.
Absolutely brilliant to see our youngsters performing so well.
Result is good but the joy from watching us play well was better.
MOTM should have the phone taped to the back of Linekar’s chair. broke the deadlock
For those wondering about the unusual sounds at the start of the broadcast; it was just a history lesson
Amazing what fresh legs (and brains) can do for us…
Definite dip after the substitutions, but in general a hard earned win.
Klopp should have more difficult choices to make picking for the next game.
unzip jurgen, unzip…let it hang for all those muthafckers!!
A bit nervy near the end but with 8 changes it was very good performance, men of the match Naby, Stefan and Harvey.
For 63 minutes we were excellent on the ball and defensively, changes didn’t help but great to see us battle hard to not concede
Not right now thank you @jabu
Bajčetić Man of the Match for me, Elliott and Tiago played well too👍
Stefan Bajcetic though. What a player he is going to be.
He should be starting games.
sorry @Maria, now im embarrassed…
That was the team that shoulv’e played the first game but nonetheless a very spirited performance, can take a lot from that.
Ibou at the back was brilliant, Harvey looking for more comfortable on the right (wing). Naby showing what he can bring when he’s not in the treatment room and a special mention for Bajcetic who should now get the start he deserves at the weekend.
Bajcetic, Thiago, Keita and Elliot were quality tonight on and off the ball.
Team was much more compact, no more gifting easy chances away. Composure on the ball in midfield was a big improvement. Doak and Jones came off the bench and kept it nicely too.
Much better, more of that please reds.
I thought Naby was very positive, even if the execution was at times lacking.
