Post match: Wolves v Liverpool (FAC 17/1/23 7.45pm)

Compact, press, players playing who wanted to play and wanted to win, hard to compare with Brighton but compare it to Wolves first game.

Played like that this wouldn’t have been played.

Can’t fault pretty much anyone bar one or two but frankly most of that team should start on Saturday.

We managed to win an away game, that was a great watch and very entertaining game for a change.

Thank you for cheering me up :upside_down_face:

Plus, Naby, Joe, Ibou, Milly

A good fighting performance where they all gave everything. Scrappy game but the result was right. Thought our central defenders were excellent. Give Joe a lot of stick this season but thought he was faultless tonight so he got my MOM.

Hard to believe a CLEAN sheet

Gutsy from the lads and the chance of instant revenge against Brighton is the reward.
No need to change the starting line-up. As long as Stefan hasn’t been taken over the boundary into muscle damage territory from what looked like a very bad cramp. Elliott showed us what he’s about but he was also extremely and worryingly quiet in the second half

Wolves struggle to score, they should have had 4-5 against us in the first game.

That’s how bad we were. Also Gomez and Konate together looked far more solid.

When he moved into midfield a nd we stopped playing to feet

Awww! It’s alright jabu, just want to saw our manager happy and smiling again. He has looked so miserable the last few months.

Well that ended up far better than I imagined. Not perfect by any estimation, but we seem to have addressed so many frailties at once.

Interesting for Klopp now. How many of those changes are worth persevering with?

Shaka Hislop - “If you’re Liverpool and you’re clinging on against a bad Wolves team, that’s not good”.

Thanks for that Shaka you fucking killjoy. Also you predicted before kickoff that Wolves would beat us easily, so are they bad or not?

It was a win and maybe a turning point. Some great performances tonight…Elliot, Stefan and a late cameo with passion from Doak…Well done lads, all of you made a contribution

So much better, really showed up the seniors for their lack of fight and energy.

Bajtecic is immense, the composure at 18 off the scale.

Elliot looks good on the right, very good.

Not a single bad performance bar Fabinho haha.

Midfield had energy tonight and made a big difference, lets hope naby’s legs can hold out for the rest of the season as it looks like we are going to need him, although not the greatest performance but a win was needed after the little slump we have been on and hopefully this result will now build a bit of confidence back up within the team.

Fabinho was probably better than Carvalho and Gakpo, don’t think they offered us much.

Neither did Salah, actually.

I thought Carvalho offered some good outlets and ball progression, knitting the play together quite well rather often. Gakpo was a little quieter, but not sure he’s played much through the middle before?

I thought Carvalho and Gakpo effected the press well and kept forcing them wher we wanted them to play and both had some bright moments

“Clinging on”

I’m glad I’ve got the BBC on instead of that type of garbage analysis.

First time i gave my motm to such an unemployed goalie.
On the other hand, how many chances did we have?

All three!..we get up to three votes like in the match poll, right?

Fun fact: Since 2008/09, of all Liverpool players to have started more than 10 games, Naby Keita has the highest win % (78%), so maybe c was crucial for a and b to happen…
