I was also confused by that incident, but he does have a poor fitness record, for a goalkeeper.
Ibou will probably get shit from some because he was physically present on both their goals but I dont think you can put big blame on him for either. And other than that we didnt have that much defending to do. But we did have a good amount of the ball at the back and we played our way into trouble a few times. That just isnt a strength of his
The u11s I coach won yesterday. I can never have both. It’s my fault.
The problem is it’s not just this game in isolation. We haven’t looked like we did anything different than where we left the week before international break.
And this was such a low quality United side. Even without doing much we would look better I felt. They were not able to clear even the ball properly from their own half without miskicking it. Which is why it really hurts even more.
I thought he was actually pretty good.
Are we all just taking for granted that Oliver for fucking abysmal, by the way? It was genuinely one of the worst displays I’ve seen for years.
I get what you were saying, but my counter was that I think the reaction is fair.
I think it is possible, likely, that some will take too much from the number of chances we created, because they are a mirage. They come seemingly at random simply because we’ve got so many really good players, but they dont portend to anything getting closer to clicking. But most troublesome is the lack of anything looking like progress or improvement. I actually think some of the early season criticism of us was overblown where our late goals typically gave us the win we deserved rather than being unearned. But it clearly wasnt clicking yet, and since Palace it has been a few big steps backwards with no indication that we even know the question let alone the answer.
It’s just Ali. I think his last one was from trying to make a 25 yard pass [TWANG}
weve been poor defensively since Feb.
Its not hard to score against us.
The Southampton game and losing Etikite changed our momentum and strategy completely. I feel we weren’t really bad in the earlier games where we got winners late. There was a gut feeling that we’ll get a winner somehow and we did. Atletico first 20 minutes or so we were so so good.. we really looked like this time we are again in for multiple trophies.
The Chelsea and Utd games however even after the equalizer, their was a wierd fear that we’ll lose it towards the end and that’s how it has turned out to be. The number of chances Crystal Palace carved out really blew my mind on how we have become so shit so quickly.
we didnt play like a team,
but we had 19 shot at goal,
6 on target,
scored 1,
Man U’s scored twice, on both occasions the scorer wasnt really challenged,
(Konate got close to the 1st but not close enough)
but once again your going on about the Refs performance!

but we had 19 shot at goal,
6 on target,
scored 1,
Wasn’t Isak supposed to solve this inefficiency problem?
None of the chances we’ve created were random events. They all came from playing football…
The problem is that we didn’t play enough football.
Its not come together in a consistent and sustained way
I made a gag YEARS ago that we were a very Gestalt football team, ie. we were for years far greater than the sum of our parts.
The ingredients just aren’t coming together right now, kinda like British cuisine. The parts are there, but fuck, what is this slop in front of me?
There’s nothing wrong with eggs, chips and beans!
When was the last time we scored 5, I haven’t seen a well played match since the 4-0 against Spurs, we won a few, not without luck, but since that run out we keep on loosing.
Slot has to turn it around ore we should say bye to him IMO.
It was 5-1. So that would’ve been the last time.
Thought it was 4-0 .
Spurs scored first and were then blown away.
My sense of this team is one that when it gets going can win anywhere..We just need to be close to the top end…
Goalkeeper is obviously being bought on potential, but that first goal reeked of Mignolet against Mata (first goal in 1-2 from 2015). It was in the box but went through him way too easily for that angle. Certainly not the only player worthy of blame but I was apoplectic at conceding after 63 seconds.
