203 minutes without a goal against them this season.

Story of the season. Learnt nothing. Improved nothing.

We really need to be adding no one to the list of candidates for man of the match

We should lock this one as well as the pre-game version.

I was considering it.

If anything, were worse and crumbled under the atmosphere even more this time around

We might turn this around in the second leg. And then what? Crash out against a team with actual quality?

Tbf, Mama kept it at 1-0

It’d hurt less if we went out now rather than scam a 2-0 win AET or on pens and then be utterly embarrassed by PSG.

We’re not fit to “compete” in this competition. A broken club if you will.

Hd he kept it at o-o he’d have been in with a chance

Yep, I’ve given him my only MotM vote.

Even when we got the ball in favorable spots - which was more than a few times as Gala was wide open in the first half especially - we didn’t have a structure in place to take advantage of it.

The less said about the performance and our team the better.

But the more we should talk about the added time given. 4 fucking minutes after two VAR checks, multiple ‘injuries’, gala wasting time, 5 substitution events. 4 FUCKING MINUTES???

I’m starting to tilt towards Arsene’s idea of destroying the game once and for all with having time stopped when the ball goes out of play so that I never have to watch a wanker in yellow to show 4 minutes of added time when there should be closer to 10.

Im happy it was kept to 4 mins otherwise they may have scored a 2nd.

We still have the talent to beat anyone if we somehow wake up one day feeling good about ourselves and put in a proper performance. We have had them scattered throughout the season, sometimes against good sides. But we’re bad enough consistently enough to be capable…likely…of going out over two legs to anyone.

I will watch the second leg. I may even take some time off work to do it again. But I will have zero expectation because there is nothing about this season that gives any reason to think we’re going to be any better next time. This is far closer to who we are now than the good performance against Villa 4 months ago

I am surprised that we did not goad the Gala’s players into a few more yellows. They had 7 players on yellows. Instead, it was our boys picking up cards left, right and centre. What a farce.

Oh, must be our boys wanted to play more UNO like they were on the way to this match.

It’s what my head expected and my heart refused to accept.

We still have a decent chance to go through, not that it will ultimately matter in the long run (My head says, heart still disagrees).

Hit a new low. When they steal the ball 3 times in and around their box in the first 10 minutes and fail not only to score but to even create a chance, there is not much to say. Plus, the obligatory shit defending for the first set piece that leads to a goal.

Another game where you can’t name a single player that was good. Gomez was a liability, Konate was back at his worst, Van Dijk looked way off his usual self, Kerkez did nothing. The midfield was a joke and it’s unbelievable that Slot kept Jones on the bench for the entire game.
The less said about the inexistent Wirtz, the better. Ekitike spent 90 minutes with his head down, not looking for teammates, always keeping the ball too long. Salah was once again the place where Liverpool attacks went to die.

The real problem though is the same it’s been all season and that’s Slot. Yet another game where the team looked unprepared, disorganised and unfit. Even if we progress on next Wednesday, which is looking far from a certainty, we’ll get bounced by whoever we meet next.

Slot’s got to go.

i had to take a breath and count to ten. otherwise i would have said some disrespectful shit and @Mascot would have banned me for life… I just want slot gone. This is not LFC football. For the soul of our club i want him gone…the end.

Utterly bollocks. Again. And again.

Slot has to go, naturally, but there’s quite a few others that need to go with him.
