Pre- and In-Match | Everton v Liverpool| PL Match Day 14 | Wednesday 1st December 20:15h | Goodison

Stats wise Trent is the better defender than James but that’s never reported.

Well despite trying to go to Hollywood, they have been punished with 2 yellows. Good. To be honest, Everton has been less physical than I had assumed they would be. In the first 30 min, we totally outplayed them and risked some tackles from them since they were too slow all the time. However, last 15, Everton has been in the game and we became complacent. Arguably, even then, we have been the better team.
Not much more room for filming though for Everton since the ref is on point with those filming yellows.

If we outplay them in the second, we do of course risk frustration tackles, i.e. poor Everton sods being way too slow and just swinging in a leg anyway due to frustration. But I think it will go well for us. I don’t know, this just doesn’t feel like an unlucky day

No RER, u telling me trent and Robbo play different roles in regards to attack and defend as LB/RB. Instructions are the same, but u dont see teams targeting robbo do u. Simply because he defends better and has better awareness

Do you think Klopp would keep him on if he wasn’t following instructions.

Sour faced f***er…needs sorting.

Honestly I can’t even blame our lads for Everton’s goal. It came at the end of a period of about 10 minutes where virtually no football was played. It was so stop-start, so bitty, that I’m not at all surprised some concentration dropped. Its not a good reaction but it is natural.

Don’t think that goal is Trent’s fault

This! So much this. When we played like busy bees, they stood no chance in hell. When we settled the tempo lower, they came into the game.

He follows instructions but still lacks defensive awareness. there is a reason he is normally subbed against good teams when we leading and tryina protect a lead… even the commentary is confirming he was out of position for grays goal

Surprised they still have 11 players on the pitch.

Two great goals from us, one shitty one from them.

Sure we will score again. But there’s every chance they could if they can avoid any 2nd yellow cards.

Not an enjoyable 45 because the Ev don’t want to actually play a game of football.

Can add to that list the Everton crowd tactics of stealing the ball, then throwing it onto the pitch if it looks like they could concede.

Everton goal was honestly a very good attack as well. Not very easy to defend such a good transition. I am ambivalent, shit like that happens. Sometimes even teams like Everton manage a very good attack. But sure, we could have defended better. But I am not up in arms about it.

They were after the assault last season, so this is becoming a norm actually

Thiago needs to be careful also, he got booked for nothing.

ref lost the game after about 10 minutes

Accumulation foul. It wasn’t a yellow for that particular intervention, but ref wanted to punish him for earlier fouls.

Yes I did. But 10 minutes of good defending isn’t acceptable at this level.

Subbed I’ve only ever seen it once.

Watford still in it. Maybe, just maybe this will be a great night for us. Mind you, Sheik Mansour FC is up 0-2 away, which again isn’t fantastic. They will be dangerous for us too…

Until like a year or two ago, I did not even hate those bluenoses that much. Certainly I hated the mancs much more than the bitters and was sure I could hate no other team even close as much as I hate the mancs. But with them taking their shithousery to an unprecedented levels, especially in the last few years, I think those bluenose twats overtook even fucking mancs in the amount of hatred I feel for them.

Just destroy those fucking twats.
