Pre and In Match | Everton vs Liverpool | PL Match Day 6 | Saturday 12:30 | Goodison

I thought Everton had the better execution of match plan in that half. There’s a lack of bite up front from us. Kostas Trent and Joe playing well.
Elliott can play better

Throw Arthur on, surely he’s fit enough to give us 45 minutes.

No he should be wide! We’ve played 3 games without Nunez and kept Diaz and Salah wide and it’s failed horribly… We start with Nunez and Diaz and Salah are now central… As you’d guess it’s failing horribly.

With Nunez playing between the central defenders, we need our wide men to take the fullbacks one v one.

We really don’t appear to have a tactical gameplan, or we’re doing it wrong, or it is the wrong one.

Should be a simple change, wake up Jurgen.

Yep.

He’ll move further central on 65 minutes and we’ll get a big chance within 3 minutes after. Seen this one before.

life and commentary… hate this shit

  1. Salah should be closer to the goal. He is most often too deep or wide to be a threat.
  2. For most of his passes, it seem Trent just hopes someone will get it.
  3. Carvalho wasn’t ready for such low-block and shithousery.
  4. Nunez isn’t turned on, maybe he is being extra docile.

The formation setup has been nothing short of catastrophic from the 12th to 35th min.
With both Diaz and Salah playing centre forward, the team found itself lacking width. This caused both Fabio and Elliot to compensate for this and resulting in their presence being diminished in general play. Fabio who is not a central midfielder per se, was struggling greatly.
No wonder as from around the 35th min when salah dropped to the byline, we suddenly found ourselves creating our best chances.
This was because we were now stretching their central defenders and causing them to go out of position.
Onana for the blushite was completely lossed.

Mo in the middle…Darwin on the right…and Luiz on the left…confuse em…

Haha. I love the fapping over t-rex making an easy save look complicated with his ridiculous acrobatics. “Wow! What a save!” :joy:

Matip for Gomez and Artur for Carvalho will do the trick.

I think if we have Mo closer to Darwin, it will yield results!

to do what exactly??

Get booked

Either Nunez or Diaz chance goes in and there would be a very different complexion on the game.

As it is, it looks like a lot of games last season where you expect us to improve in the second half and go on to win it.

Concerns about Maupay though, just the kind of mediocre arsehole who will always score against us.

Gomez is alright today…

Gomez made the error for the Davies chance but he’s been good otherwise, and he definitely doesn’t need subbing based on that performance.

Loved that Trent cross where he runs hard to dig the ball out from the byline deep and high, perfect for Darwin. Shame Darwin got it all wrong.

The 90s strikers like Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Lee Chapman, etc would’ve climbed over the player and slapped the ball off their head into the back of the net.
