We extended Milner’s contract when he should be let go on a free, thus freeing up a space in the midfield. We should have flogged AOC the first chance we had, even a nominal bid of 15 million pounds would be 15 millions pounds into the transfer kitty. As for Keita, even his injury right now is a mystery when he did nothing. Hasn’t seen him anywhere in the stands at all.

I’m even surprised he came on. I didn’t expect we’d see him til the international break or if we did 10 minute cameos
Maybe that’s it but it’s even early for that. Suppose it would have been Carvalho if he hadn’t started.

Maybe I am harsh in saying this but Naby has had four years. Contributed with the odd moment here and there and part of squad depth but really disappointing for someone who was hyped as the next Stevie G.

This was the first window without Edwards right? I think our transfer nous is not going to be as good as it was. Indeed, we just fought transfer deadline day to acquire a type of player we gave away last summer

all true… all this rah-rah about the brilliance of `lfc planning is BS… the plan is and always be jurgen klopp and what he can rinse out of every player made available to him. jurgen leaves, owners will be forced to make major investments jus to have a sniff at top four

I’d have gone with Diaz as well, thought he was troublesome for them throughout his link up play with Tsimkas was actually one of the brighter spots.

If Klopp had a ruthless streak, he would have binned off Keita and Ox, not resign Milly, and relegate our captain to the bench. He is just too loyal to a fault. There is no room for sentiment in this business with teams like Chelsea and Man City in the mix.

If we were to look, it seems it is 50-50 issue. Klopp went into the pre-season overly confident on his midfield, FSG went into the pre-season, thinking they can get Tchouameni this season.
Both went the way of Murphy’s law and here we are!
