Keita, Ox and the year before Minamino and Origi. The combination of covid and badly timed injuries have definitely impacted our ability to turn over the edges of our squad the way we hoped we’d be able to. It’s probably only resulted in 1 fewer player coming in than expected, but with 2 keepers on the bench in recent games that extra player is valuable

The positive in this game was Joe Gomez. Looking like the player we know again. Pace is back. The understanding with VVD returning, and there’s some fight in him not be bullied.
Him and Trent closed that right side up for 60 minutes.

You mean the point in time when we had a fully fit squad. That doesn’t fit into the 18 player limit we had on matchday squads. We were leaving Gomez out too, does that mean he’s shite?
