Pre and In Match | Everton vs Liverpool | PL Match Day 6 | Saturday 12:30 | Goodison

so it does follow the argument that if hendo had not been injured we would have stuck with what we have regardless of klopp crying out for reinforcements

thank u

I believe so, yes.

But that’s just my opinion.

its a good opinion…

good night all… let me get outta here!! onto the nexxt one.

I was referring to quality signings not wage bills. Your point is taken but it’s sufficient bodies on the pitch of elite or near standard which we lack. This where we are falling behind. Players are the ones who win games after all.

Counting on the fitness of Hendo, Keita, Ox, and Thiago in a season where we are competing on all fronts is fool’s gold. We should have been more proactive and not reactive in the market.

Buying players you dont really want but get just to fill a short term hole is exactly how you end up in the situation where you have too many players on your books you cannot get rid giving you no room to afford the new players you actually want to bring in. I mean shit, some of inactivity in the market the past 2 years has been reported to be due to an unexpected level of disinterest in some of the players we were willing to listen to offers for

The right targets have to be available for the right price.

We aren’t Man City, who can waste £100m and not care. And we aren’t Man U, either, throwing money around in desperation.

You could have just said Keita

Agreed, this is really hard to digest. Everyone knew after the Real Madrid game, there needs to be a rebuild of the midfield. What we heard are bad news after bad news.

First, Tchouameni choosing Madrid unsurprisingly and it seems like everyone at LFC then reacted like deers in the headlights.

Second, Extending milner’s deal. Extending it is borderline manure level of foolish if your players at the 24-29 years old stage is made of steel. Hint: They aren’t which makes this move looks like a foolish one.

Third, Not proactively reacting with ample time when AOC went down with a serious injury in Singapore and Thiago going down on the first day of the campaign and Keita mysteriously disappearing on MW 3. This is a real head-scratcher, given by their injury records. So much time and yet we only acted on the last day of the window after Hendo is injured. What the actual fuck is going on?

You want to add in more clichés? You’re only a little bit off a job on MOTD…

I understand you were. The point is looking at just transfer fees as a sign of financial commitment is bad way of looking at things.

Halaand signed for city for a low fee yet the entirety of world football was priced out signing him other than petrostate funded clubs (who incidentally are currently being sanctioned for FFP violations)

You can run with the whole “right player right price right age right personality right date of birth right hair colour” all you want, if we don’t have the money we don’t have the money.

Eventually our spending will line up with our league position in the table.

Tactics aside, I have seen a distinct lack of what used to be his ability to beat a defender 1v1 on the dribble.

This entire front line has forgotten how to break at pace. Instead they saunter the ball up the pitch as a quick jog and let the defenders get organized. It’s a fuckin shambles.

Two successive corners, Everton broke at pace on the counter and overwhelmed us. Two very good chances.

How many times have you seen Mo slow the ball down and let his defender get goalside

He’s not Messi or Ronaldo in their prime and it shows

4 fucking million loan fee for Arthur and we cannot stump it up earlier? FFS…

We will be waiting forever then. Something has to give. There has to be some flexibility in our structure.

Or maybe it’s been committed to Bellingham next year.
