Yeah, had that (Ox as the false #9) in mind yesterday if Jota can’t play/start.

Remember the boss tried the Ox in the false 9 during pre season. Attribute wise he is the player that suits it greatly after Bobby.

No Origi or Bobby on the bench. But Jota being there is a relief.

I wasn’t expecting it to be honest but nice to see how he gets on with it. The rest of the team is pretty predictable.

Suspect Ox is false 9 with Mane and Salah on the wings, cutting in accordingly.
Probably given it was tried a few times in pre season, I’ve quite liked what I’ve seen of Mane when he’s played centrally though and I always feel like Ox is more of a threat when he’s getting shots away cutting inside from the left.

Agreed, Mane’s take-ons this season have been a mixed bag but his back-to-goal hold-up abilities remain strong and if he can feel the oncoming runners it can only be a good thing

Strong team and bench. Hope Ox takes his chance to prove he can also be a good option up front.
