But we’re going to have to deal with it at some point. I think we’re probably the most diligent in the league when it comes to this stuff, but this new variant looks very transmissible.
Personally I’m of the opinion that we’re looking at another break/closed doors situation before long.
To make things equal and cut down the transmission of Omicron…all games cancelled over Christmas and New Year…don’t allow certain teams to use this ‘Covidcrom’ as a way to manipulate points and games to their advantage…
Virgil’s not in the team that’s doing the rounds so it may be that he’s caught it. Every team’s going to be affected no matter how careful they are. I agreed with the Brentford manager. They should cancel this weekend’s games and review after that. It’s likely this wave of infection is going to be intense but short-lived so the situation should stablise relatively quickly in the New Year, especially with everyone getting boosted. What would be disastrous for us is to end up playing multiple games in front of no fans. If that happened they might as well give City the title now.
I’ve rarely been so relaxed before a game. Newcastle are currently shit and we should have few problems inflicting yet another defeat on them as part of their inevitable journey to the Championship.
And so it begins. That’ll be all three out for the Spurs game too if that now even goes ahead.
But the house of cards is falling down and the weekend fixture list is looking screwed already. Surely going to need to put a break in now to get it under control.
