It’s a chicken and egg sort of thing to me. He can’t earn it if he isn’t playing. Even last week, in a few mins, he came on, made a tackle, won the ball, cut inside, unleashed a shot that looped over the goalie but just past the post.
To my eye he looked more threatening in his very limited time than the rest of them had, since the first half an hour.
I’m seeing a Salah Saudi future (probably next summer) and a Diaz-Gakpo-Nunez main front three coming to the fore.
In the meantime, Salah has 8 in 8 games against Bournemouth, and after coming off last week and showing his displeasure, I expect him to be among the goals today.
